Is it known if the 3DS version has already gone gold or is it too early for that? I mean, the Japanese launch is only slightly over a month away, so I can imagine that they should begin printing the cartridges within not too much time.

I've destroyed the Great Fox blasters several times! I had known about that since at least before Brawl came out: I stumbled across it by accident while goofing around in Melee.

Maybe have him use his tongue to get the Side-B Move instead. heavier and slower than Kirby, other special moves are based off Kirby Dreamland powers (like Cutter for B, Broom for Down-B, and Needle for Up-B), and such.

Considering Nintendo gave Mario Kart 8 out to the press a full month before the game launched...I think the 3DS version has 1-1.5 weeks of development left...
It was rumored that MK8 was finished by April.
I think the development for both the 3DS and Wii U version of Smash is a lot more tight.

Also 3DS cart production just takes longer.
I imagine once it goes gold, it won't hit reviewers for another two weeks.

I literally have no other character requests. I'd like Ridley, but if he's not playable by normal means, then it's whatever for me.... Unless Sceptile makes his debut.

I miss going to Smashfests. I got so much knowledge for so many games when I went. A Double Dash time trial runner even gave me some strats after I managed to beat him legit in a race.

I was watching the E3 Smash tourneys for the first time and it got me really hyped for the game. It seems a lot more fast paced than Brawl and it seems like instead of Brawl, and to a slight extent Melee, Sakurai stopped trying to balance by weakening players but instead took a more SSB64 approach and gave them all some crazy slightly overpowered gimmicks. I approve of this approach versus Brawl where it felt like he tried balancing all the players by making them slower and weaker(and failing since obviously some fell between the cracks coughMetaknightcough). I could easily see this being a more return to form for Smash with casual and competitive players since it in general looks like it will be a lot more fun. Only disappointing thing I saw is that that Starry Night NSMBU stage is not a stage transformation in Mushroom Kingdom U.
I also now kinda really hope the playable Boss mode rumor is true because I could see that being a lot of fun.

Would anyone happen to know where I could find large-sized renders of the characters? I'm working on compiling some wallpapers for Smash and I wanted to use them. I know they have decent sized ones on the main page but it's a little tricky tracking down the largest sized renders. Thanks in advance.

At first the only character I wanted AND expected was Little Mac, so I was content when he got revealed.
There's a lot of characters I want, but Lil Mac was the only one I thought had a chance. My most wanted was a Rhythm Heaven character, but it was a pipe dream.
Though after Gematsu and the Sneaky Spirit, a Rhythm Heaven character is really all I want to see right now. I guess I shouldn't be expecting one to save myself the disappointment, but I'd be extremely happy if we get one. <3

I always have a list of characters I want in. I got most of them revealed so far and some I didn't even know I wanted but I'm satisfied with the roster as is. I'd say the next characters I'd want whether in this smash or the next(some are a little unrealistic) are this:
Takamaru, Ridley, Dark Samus, Hades/Medusa, Impa, Sceptile, Mewtwo, Midna, Captain Toad and Cranky Kong/Dixie Kong. The only characters I'm going to hold any slight hope of getting into 4 are Takamaru, Impa, Mewtwo and Dixie Kong. However, like I said I'm satisfied with the current roster and the only newcomers I'm realistically expecting are Shulk and Rhythm Heaven rep.

Pic of the day. In general, there are completely different stages in the 3DS and Wii U version, but we made Wily Castle and the special boxing ring available for both versions! We didn't forget the Yellow Devil either. There may be some small differences in the stages, such as the 3DS stage appearing to be during daylight hours.
