Oh dear please no; I just realized that if Sakurai sincerely believes we WANT game-ruining bosses, what if he's been teasing Ridley like he has because he thinks we want to see him come in as a terrible boss, expecting the stage hazard reveal alone to be a megaton?

Ridley had two boss battles in Brawl. Ridley as a boss is hardly anything new in Smash, doesn't matter if Sakurai noticed people's negativity regarding the Yellow Devil or not.

I kinda disagree, but I think that's a perfectly justified position to take. More importantly, do we know if more characters are actually planned? Would be cool if Slippy and Ike Climbers weren't actually jokes, lol.

They're likely to be partial clones.
Also Sami is the only one we got to see a model of, so either she is the most completed or she isthe only one the leaker was able to leak (either is possible really).

Skull Kid and Knuckle are weird choices. Strange enough, Project M Backroom member told me that they would like to avoid to make third-party character playable other than Sonic and Snake because they don't want to step over any lines with copyrights. Again, SEGA's copyright is right there, and Knuckle shown up in Green Hill's background.

I know, but I think Project M should really focus on series actually in Smash, mainly Nintendo, before basically adding fan stages. Why not bring back more Melee stages or fix Brawl stages first?

I know that, I just feel adding a 3rd-Party cameo as a character sort of goes against their proposed "we only want to add the worthwhile Nintendo characters that appear!" mantra they supposedly had. I assumed originally they meant ones that appeared as an Assist Trophy, but not it seems even someone who appeared as a quick sticker is eligible which sort of bugs me.

I was just thinking about how Brawl was the perfect timing for Issac. It had been a while since The Lost Age, but there was still a decent amount of nostalgia for the game and it was still remembered quite fondly. You also had, unbeknownst to fans, the fact that another Golden Sun was right around the corner, and Issac in Brawl probably could have drummed up some support for that.

But six years and one middling DS game later and the window has absolutely passed. It's just a shame.

What makes it different or more believable than, say, Gematsu?

The guy is very specific in his info and called stuff like Lucina, saying that Chrom was cut because he played to similarly to the other swordsmen.
Furthermore, again before last monday, he said that Rayman was scrapped because of the Wii U version being pushed and loosing its exclusive status.

People didn't look at that leak before last monday.

So how can we confirm it's real?

Miahstorm states that the reveals at comic con will be a video showing off Meta Knight and Bandana Dee, so he has a short time to be proven right or wrong.

Without further adue, here's a tl;dr version of the leak:

MECHANICS
-Wavedashing and L-cancelling are toggleable during local play and always on during online
-Airdodging will work like Brawl in for fun, and like Melee in for glory. It can be toggled in local play
-There were plans to only have Melee airdodging, and having three dodges available in the air, but these were deemed too OP
-There are special attacks that can be activated by doing specific combinations of attacks in sequence. Every character has one of these.
-Stickers have been removed

STAGES
-The pyrosphere stage hazards are Greemers, rising magma, and a stage boss that is 'not what you will expect'. The lights also go out.
-Dragonroost Island is a tour stage similar to Isle Delfino
-Paranormal Dimension is a stage based on the final boss stage in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, with King Boo as a boss. Ghosts also appear
-Gangplank Galleon is a stage, where Kremlings appear as hazards
-Giygas' chamber from earthbound is a stage, with Giygas himself being a boss

ALTS
-Marth has a Lucina costume, one masked and one not. (according to the leaker, this information is outdated)
-Mario has a Doctor Mario costume, with fireballs replaced with pills
-Toon Link has a pajama costume

CHARACTERS
-The final roster is 54 characters. 16 more characters will be revealed before launch and 2 secret characters will be revealed after. 5 of these are newcomers and the others are veterans
-King K. Rool is a newcomer. He's the heaviest character in the game.
-Ridley is a newcomer. He's big and floaty, poor on the ground and strong in the air. He can shoot fireballs and grind his tail along the stage
-Shulk is a newcomer. His Monado grants him various buffs during battle
-Sceptile is a newcomer.
Bandanna Dee is a newcomer. He's a fast and strong character, but is the easiest character to KO in the game. He will be revealed during SDCC along with Meta Knight
-Mewtwo returns
-Mr. Game & Watch returns
-Ice Climbers return
-Meta Knight returns. He will be revealed in Bandanna Dee's trailer in SDCC. He's been nerfed in strength, and his Mach Tornado and Drill Rush are replaced with new moves
-Ganondorf returns
-Falco returns
-Ness returns
-Lucas returns. His moves are altered to be significantly different from Ness'
-Rayman was planned to be a newcomer, but was scrapped due to animosity about Rayman Legends' postponement
-Chrom was planned, but scrapped due to similarities to the other sword characters. Some of his moves were given to Mii Fighters and Ike.
-Chorus Men are not playable. They are enemies in Smash Run
-Swampert was considered but scrapped in favor of Sceptile
