I predict a delay for Wii U version simply because Brawl was delayed.

Wasn't Brawl's delay largely due to Sega changing their mind about Sonic's addition late into development, or am I completely wrong about that?

I'm really surprised everyone is putting so much stock into this. It's probably not true.
I think it's less people putting stock into it and more that we need something to discuss.

I don't really see "characters" so I would assume that he might talk about stages or other stuffs.
Sonic was the last character added according to the postmortem, so it's somewhat likely that he's the main culprit and messed with their timetables. But Brawl seemed to have a troubled development from the start with them announcing delays pretty early on.
We get really twitchy the closer we get to the day.
Should only be 3.

Now that I think about it, didn't that player Zero say he had an announcement and couldn't say anything right at the moment? Maybe he's the respected Smashboards member and was told about the delay?
I strongly doubt anyone would be 'excited' about the news. :lol

I'm gonna lol when half of SmashGAF comes back to this and goes "ha you were wrong" when neither of them said there would be a delay, only that there is a possibility.

I can't speak for other people, but I always like to hear rumors and gossips but never take them as 100% confirmation. I would like to be prepare for the future if something happened.

To be fair, the user I'm referring to I know isn't making anything up. But they're also not saying anything extraordinary either. Just general stuff like the marketing budget for Smash 4 or details about the staff being composed of members of HAL, Sora and Bamco. People decided to jump on the remote possibility of delay for the Wii U version and run too far with that.

To be completely fair, Brawl's first delay was announced with Sonic, and if you consider Smash 4 3DS's October release a delay from Summer, that was also announced with 3 characters. If they announce a delay, it'll almost certainly be attached to something to get excited about.
Hadn't seen this since back in the day and I had completely forgotten about it! Brawl pre-release was craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy.

I don't think Nintendo can afford a delay. Might be why DLC is coming, they're going to finish up what they have, make a day 1 patch and day 1 free DLC with some stages and trophies.
I don't expect character DLC until 2015. 3DS in October, Wii U in November, ads start late November for kids to want the game and amiibos for Xmas. It's why the 3DS doesn't get amiibos yet, they want Wii U to sell more units. Then DLC characters will come in both amiibo form and download code form. It's what I expect, which means none of it will happen.

Don't be. I'm fine with that kind of information, but I guess people can't handle delay if it actually happened.
That really take me back in the past where people edited wiki to caused the vandalism.
I am getting Bayonetta 2 regardless. if Wii U version gets cancelled I guess if its too far off, I will buy Persona Q instead.
