Unsure how to take it though.

WTF? Bowsers down-b can completely destroy a full shield? There are two hits that damage the shield, but that doesn't make much of a difference in this case. That's too strong. I hope I'm missing something here. I guess the gif is to show that the down-b also attacks while Bowser is jumping in the air, but the other thing is quite something.

There's always been shield break moves. Giving Bowser one is good.

Have we ever had an uncharged move that fully breaks a shield though? Marth's shield breaker takes quite a while to do the job.

There's so much time to react to the Bowser bomb though, I think breaking shield is perfect for it. Makes it a legitimate threat sometimes, even though it will usually still be easy to just roll away.

Like, literally one comment down from that:

That tweet doesn't really say "THIS" is the commercial version. It just says the final version [will be] better than the demo, so he doesn't explicitly say the one being showcased at the event is that final version. To me, his message is "Whatever you see or experience at the event, don't worry if there're things you don't like because we're making it better"

Translated scans about the internet. You can find it if you want to.

Only real highlights to me were details on WFT's neutral B (Sun Salutation). If you charge it all the way, you gain some health. The two customizable versions that they showed were:

  • One where there's less charge time and it does more damage (Translation was weird about this part, i'm sure someone will clear it up), but there's no heath regen.
  • One where it moves a lot slower and does less damage but it keeps pushing the other player back.
Customizable moves sound really, really interesting. I'm excited to see what sakurai pulls off.

I am actually hoping the characters I want to try the most are unlockable.

That'd work too. I'm assuming since they were in the demo, they may be starters, but others are questionable.

Well, at least one of them can be a starter, that'd be nice. I'd take Toon Link if I can, he played so damn well when I played it on Friday. He felt just right and his slight power adjustments were very welcome.

Also makes it better that 3DS controls were spot-on, so I had no issues using the guy.

Yeah, Coro Coro already tweeted that they would review those ALL ANNOUNCED characters.
That is good enough. They might reveal the custom moves for some of the announced characters.

I think the characters in the box art will be the starter ones, so I suppose you will have your Little Mac right when you boot the game.

Good thing about Coro-Coro magazine is that we are going to end the speculation of Palutena's Vanilla moveset.

True. I am really hoping her default moveset is composed of Heavenly Light, Auto Reticle, Jump Glide and Reflect (since she doesn't use her huge shield, she better have a "shielding" move as default), but the default moveset will probably be entirely different and I will be disappointed. I can feel it.

Well, it's not THAT slow when done in midair, just like Bowser himself isn't really slow anymore.

And in any case a normal special move shouldn't completely destroy a full shield, imo. If this is the case for Bowser's down-b, than Falcon Punch or Marth and Ike's fully charged neutral-b must be instant KOs, they're a lot slower and harder to hit with. Especially in a 4-player match it shouldn't be too hard to hit with Bowser's down-b, or not much harder than Kirby's or Pikachu's down-b.

But I agree, we'll need to see if this will be the same in the final version of the game. I certainly don't hope so.

I disagree. A normal special should certainly be able to completely destroy a shield if it's as highly telegraphed and punishable as Bowser's down special. I think some moves have different shield damage than regular damage though, so if the movie hits, it's not quite a kill move unshielded, but if you shield it, it just destroys the shield.
