If this truly is the reason we haven't seen Max on the site in a while i would imagine it's more due to the potential publicity issues than Patrick's friendship. If Patrick put out video representing GB that had Max in it, CBSi would likely force him to stop since it's a huge liability to have GBs name tied up with Max's if anything more comes of the rape allegations. Patrick can still be friends with Max and trust him, but that doesn't mean CBSi would want to take that risk incase anything else came of the case.

The new scenario seems poorly designed though. Most of the objectives are really unclear, especially at the outset. It seems really common to finish rounds having accomplished basically nothing. And all of the inventory items don't have much apparent value so everyone immediately dumps all their stories and drinks and shit on everyone else which just makes your objective sidebar super cluttered. It's much more roleplaying-heavy than the last one, but it's asking you to roleplay stuff like going insane or falling in love or entering a drug-induced nightmare, which is kind of a tall order for anyone whose improv skills aren't super sharp.

It also asks you to roleplay those things for an extremely long amount of time. I once had Mary lose her sanity with 30 minutes left and was thorough in making people miserable no one would talk to me for the last ten minutes. I had to resort to clipping into peoples models and spinning inside of them

Premium games tend to be a lot better. People only want to play Sea of Fire and theres very few disconnects.

I'm not comfortable discussing this too much since I don't think it's my business. But my point isn't who Patrick would trust or not, but that his plans were so closely tied with Max. Him going on an internet blackout for a while etc. probably put that on hold for a while. Who knows what the future brings there, we'll see I guess.

Yeah I actually have been listening to that, good podcast, hope they keep doing it for the later seasons as well (well not one for each ep as they said themselves, but just a few for each season).

I think they said that they'd do every episode of the first season, then select episodes of later seasons. That's the best way to go I think.

I don't think something like that blows over after a few weeks. "Faced" implies it's been resolved or at least set aside. I think we can expect a new statement from one of the two parties in the near future, and for Max, the pressure/tension is probably still very real. (Also, I seem to recall the accuser saying some new stuff recently. Am I making that up?)

I hope Spookin' comes back soon. It was one of my favorite pieces of content. Hopefully XSEED can get the PC version of Corpse Party out soon.

I haven't heard anything new since she created that Tumblr a couple of weeks ago where she posted her response to Max's statement. I don't expect that Max will say anything more, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last we hear from either party about this.

You will excuse me if I've decided to take a little more time to pursue some other interests while the rest of the guys have been really ramping up the daily video content. :) At times, I was coming up with video ideas to fill gaps in space, rather than what I specifically wanted to do day-to-day, and now I'm able to give that more room to breathe. It'll all balance out.

There are many plans in the works, lots of irons in the fire.

Not telling you how to do you job but I for one miss the livestreams you were doing there for a good while.
 
To Patrick's credit, a friend of mine (she doesn't really follow GB) recently asked me if I knew what happened to the guy who did all the livestreams.

So there you go, your fans are eagerly awaiting your return. :p

I miss 'em, too. I'm just careful about what to livestream on my own--it's really hard to do. How about we get down with some 1001 Spikes this week, Spookin' With Scoops the next? I can dig it.
 
They are not really making any premium content I care about right now. The Souls stuff was great. Brad playing Doom was also great.

Would love to see another premium ER soon.

Sounds awesome Patrick, I love the idea of 1001 spikes, but know I would break a controller if I tried to play, I enjoy the service you do for us! Plus spooking! My daughter loves watching with me! She'll be so excited she's been asking!
