Oh no, this was still a great stream. I just mean that since the players had more agency concerning the direction of the game in Fortune Street, it had a different dynamic to it because things in Mario Party were mainly just left to chance. How the players felt in Fortune Street directly impacted the pace of the game, which was cool to see.

Because after an hour and a half the fact it is a horrible game rubs off.
I think the point of his post was that playing single player Mario Party would leave one feeling as beleaguered and empty as the outcome of this stream would.

What are some of the must see videos of the past few months? I've missed most of the Giantbomb videos recently. I've been a subscriber since they launched that and used to never miss a thing but I've fallen behind.
I think it might actually be too awful to even be funny, honestly

Off the top of my head Sniper Elite 3 QL was great, both Bot Colony videos, both Velvet Sundown videos, the recent UPFs, this Mario Party livestream, the TMNT QL, the Don Bradman QL, Ghostship Aftermath QL, that's all i can think of off my head but i'm sure there's more.

Yeah, I wasn't super hot on the idea of Vinny leaving the main crew, and that Dan would take a while to fit in, which could impact new content.
I was also kinda down on the crew output since Ryan died, but I'm super excited for the future of the website ever since this shuffle happened, they really have been making amazing stuff.

Is this the best Giant Bomb has ever been? I don't think I've ever seen such a steady stream of incredible content from the site.
All this needs is a ESRB everyone and Nintendo logo.

Eh, there'd be no Dan keeping them from turning the Dreamcast off if it got too much.
I think having them try to figure out how the game is played might be fun to watch, anyway. We've (hopefully) got more Mario Party to look forward to for now, though! You can't get the 3D acceleration working that way. And in Software mode the framerate sucks (at least from my recent experience the last 2 nights).
Thing is, despite some (most) of Jeff's crazy opinions being crazy - I can see how he gets there. I might not agree, but I can follow along.
Dan's crazy shit (like having never eaten a salad...) just seems to come out of left field and there are SOOOO many of them.
Still - I like that he's currently foil for the rest of the team to make fun of. It's great.

Absolutely. Difference being Charlie is a TV character with a team of writers.

Lets think about this for a second. Think about all the times a salad is offered to you. On Airplanes, as starters, as a side dish, at buffets, at family/friends dinners...Like, you've got to try pretty fucking hard to avoid a salad when you're 30 years old.
