Seeing how the stage features the entrance to the champion room, I am expecting either the Elite Four theme that you linked and/or Alder's battle theme. Or maybe Ghetsis'.

A pain to catch too (Feebas is on one tile in one specific lake that changes every day). Everything about that Pokemon is annoying. At least evolving it is a little easier now. You could accidently make it so your Feebas could literally never evolve in RS.

Hmmm, that makes sense. Sorta. I wonder why it had a Milotic statue in the first place?

The statues and palace motifs are supposed to be honoring knights and Pokemon who fought in the war. There's also Golurk and Bisharp plus a small legion of Pawniard statues.

edit: Though Reshiram and Zekrom were in the garden, so I think they were just there cause they looked cool.
 
Ehh, it feels kind of reaching to associate across generations since even Spear Pillar kept all their stage hazard pokemons to one gen. But it seems to be the only connection we can come up with so whatever.

You know, the second and third generations really got cheated in Smash Bros. Especially the second, Melee came out at the very heart of the GS era, and a Nintendo 64 battle simulator got a level in over GS. There's so many unique, iconic areas of Johto that would have made fantastic levels...

Third generation didn't even get a playable character... It doesn't even have that many Pokeball Pokemon.
 
If any champion theme gets into this new stage, it should be Cynthia's battle theme. She did appear in Black and White, so technically it would be a relevant song. It's much better then the boring old Ghettis theme where it's just drums for 2/3 of the song.
 
I want the Palkia/Dialga theme from Brawl's Spear Pillar on the stage.

It doesn't fit, but the song is amazing.

Maybe Spear Pillar will be a classic stage on the 3DS. Have we seen Palkia on the 3DS yet? Very well could be excluded on the 3DS so they could include Spear Pillar (and its music which is better than the level).

I totally agree. Ecruteak city would be so good ;_; you could fight on both of the towers, then ho-oh comes and burns one to the ground, causing the battle to shift to the other. Makes me sad it won't happen

Fifth Generation would have been as cheated if not by the stage revealed today.

Also, there still is the possibility of a playable character representing ORAS... Or at least this is what Sceptile fans want to believe.

i will be happy with literally any gen 5 music. was worried we wouldn't get any!

I'm assuming there's gonna be something going on in the background involving N's castle, because I'm not really sure why it would be mentioned otherwise, and the Unova Elite Four doesn't make for a particularly interesting backdrop on its own. So, I think the N or Ghetsis battle music would be a pretty safe bet (or maybe a combination of both!)
 
If the "main theme" of the Pokémon series is one of the two tracks in the stage, I will (ノ ゜Д゜)ノ ︵ ┻━┻
 
Maybe we'll get a cool remix that incorporates all 5 generation's champion themes into one awesome medley for the Kalos Pokemon League stage on the WiiU.

And unless Pokemon Stadium 2 returns, Kalos PL will probably get the Kanto League music from Brawl.

This is the first Smash Bros game since 64 that's had only levels based on places in Pokemon!

Melee didn't even have one level from Pokemon based on a real location!

Brawl had spear pillar, but it looked absolutely nothing like SP from the game.

I don't know why it's taken so long to get actual Pokemon locations as levels that look like what they're supposed to be...
 
So if Spear Pillar was Lucario's home stage in Brawl, this stage means we'll get a 5th gen rep right? Maybe Samurott being included is the reason why we can't have Takamaru?
 
Personally I think it's a crime against Pokémon to not have the wild Pokémon battle/trainer battle/champion battle music from every gen in the game in some form. As a medley or as individual arrangements. That's the heart of Pokémon tracks right there.
 
Yeah new pokemon stage, i am glad that we are finally getting them based in real locations on the games.

Tomorrow is my birthday so you better deliver Samurai!!
 
N's Castle stage makes me a happy chappy, not only for representing B&W's stellar endgame segment and the game in general but also because Prism Tower as a stage looks so visually bland and desolate as well as half hearted in its representation of the Pokemon Franchise where the only thing really screaming this is a pokemon stage was some cardboard Zapdos being flown through on a wire which is fitting given how the rest of the stage looks, granted the music is top notch.

I'll also be fine if N's Castle is Spear Pillar 2.0 (complete with salt inducing control reversals) minus the dreck design that is Crescent moon duck, Milotic may make no sense but whatever, if the crescent calamity can be considered a legendary then I think Milotic can bluff its way through on looks alone.

Conflicting, Kanto Gym is a top tier Pokemon track that tends to get nothing but arse remixes for some reason but maybe smash can at last give me the remix I desire.
But then I really dig Gen 5 music so this is a dilemma indeed.

I wont be missing this opportunity to throw in Rumble Falls.
And every other DK stage up to this point (well except 75M).

At least with Distant Planet its name is kind of an acknowledgement that it's not based on any one Pikmin area in particular.
