Ancelotti suggested Galliani to sign Diego Lopez on a loan: we already have an agreement with Real according to Di Marzio, but we're still looking for one with Lopez. I don't think we'll end up signing him but if we do (and that's a big if) it would be such an upgrade over our current GKs that's just sad.
Maybe I haven't seen enough of him then. He didn't do great for Milan last season, but who did? LOL!

The only good match played by Constant that I can remember is the Juve game at San Siro a couple of years ago. We won 1-0 and he faced Isla with so much class that he was almost like a real football player. Sure, that was Isla, but still.

Last week you said the deal would have been done by weeks end?

Yeah, I didn't think Southampton would resist so strongly especially after Schneiderlin tweeted that stuff. But once they sign some players it will happen.

Glazers selling 4m more shares. Below current market price too - interesting.

Sad how it's just a footnote in the thought of most United fans now. They've won.

Loads of gubbins on Twitter last night about him having a medical at Alexandria Hospital in Cheadle.

It was debunked unfortunately:

Man City source tells me rumour of Mangala having a medical at the Alexandria is just that - a rumour. "No truth in it" was the exact phrase

That credible Portugues journalist said he's in Manchester though.

Mauricio "Juve are just a stepping stone on my way to Real Madrid" Isla

The difference between QPR and Real Madrid is irrelevant. Same amount of trophies, international recognition, world class players. Actually, Carlo should be ashamed he didn't make a move to grab such a talented player.

isla lol

Rumours that Remy might sign a new contract at QPR. loooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Forgot Newcastle played Huddersfield yesterday. Janmaat's first game and Riviere still scoring. Love him already. Cabella's got major gonads too. Scored a lovely goal yesterday and his second in 3 games I think.

A recurring theme is emerging though - defensively we haven't changed at all. We're still fucking crap despite our huge improvement offensively. I honestly would love a new CB and LB (if Pardew won't start Haidara). Lascelles won't be ready until at least the following season.

I thought Mangala already did all that. Didn't the City OS accidentally post an interview with him?

Very sad. I think I have even lost my green and gold scarf although I did find an old Ronaldo one the other day.

cries.

FC Utrecht has hired an English lawyer and sent a complaint to the FA about Swansea City in regard to the transfer of Michel Vorm to Tottenham.

Utrecht would get 33% of the transfer fee but Swansea chairman Hew Jenkins told Utrecht that Vorm has been sold for ''0'' euros....

It is intriguing how much of the club they've given away now. Not too far off a fifth. Still 98% of voting rights mind.

I think they'll get some of the money. No way they will get away with this. In the 'real world' this is pure fraud.

I think McCoist gets a little too much shit thrown his way. His tactics are wonky sometimes but it's not like there's many options at the moment. He's done what's been expected of him up until now, outside of those dreadful cup performances last season.

Ah didn't see this, but the main issue for me is the lack of youth. What good is signing all these past-it players when we could be winning all these leagues with young players, and maybe we'd have a decent squad once we're challenging Celtic, right now they'll all be just about retiring.

Or at least start playing them once we've won the league with about two months to play.

I wonder though, I mean if Barcelona wants to sell Messi for 50 cents, they can, right?

This does give Swansea a bad name though imo, I would never do business with them again if I was the chairman of Utrecht.

And Sporting didn't get anything in the end?

That was what was reported at the time. Monaco bought James and Moutinho from Porto for 70mil, supposedly 35 for Moutinho and 45 for James. However the deal was then structured to be 69mil for James and 1mil for Moutinho, thus cutting out Sporting.

Though I don't know if Sporting ever challenged that or anything.

It wasn't that bad. Porto didn't want to make it look that bad so they made it 45M for James and 25M for Joao Moutinho.

Sporting had a 25% clause of the profit made on the sale (Porto bought him for 10M) so they only made 3.75M.

That was not the case. Porto were always forced to sell him for atleast 20 M € or they would have to pay us the amount of money we would get if he was sold by 20m.

I see, the original story did always seem a little too ridiculous to be true.

Strange being heavily linked with players again, went through a two week dry speel where the press couldnt be bothered, guess Gaals comments sparked them up again. Could still seriously end up with no-one though.
