PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

The DLC should've come today also, but it's nowhere to be seen. What a mess.
Why does every Japanese PSN Vita game I want have launch problems.

Edit: The website says "The PS Vita version of the hit side-scrolling beat’em up, "Phantom Breaker:Battlegrounds" and the Kurisu DLC pack will go on sale starting 7/30 in select regions, 8/12 worldwide (except for Brazil and South Africa)!"
Was it put up prematurely? Will the price get fixed by then? This just gets more and more confusing.

I haven't been able to find an answer to this.

For PSP/PSOne classics that are not eligible for download directly to the Vita, but can be transferred after purchase through PS3, does this transfer also work with the PC/Mac browser content manager?

Fuck me. Another Killzone patch.

And they're always 2GB+. Haven't GG got the memo that you don't need to bundle in all the previous patches anymore?

No. You can't download Vita content onto a PC.

'LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 5-7' for Vita is currently free on Plus.

Are you signed it at the moment? I suspect some early month PSN shenanigans.
Signed out and signed back in ... still asking for €€€. I guess they'll fix it soon.

Is there a limit to the amount of saves you can have in the PS Plus cloud?

I keep seeing a number like "980 out of 1024" next to my PS Plus cloud storage icon. I erased a bunch of saves, about 100 megs worth, and that number didn't change.

No limit AKAIK, but the 1024 refers to the 1GB of space. Odd that the 980MB of space you used didn't decrease when you deleted those saves.

If the content is ON the Vita, you can transfer it to Content Manger from the Vita, then back to another Vita/memory card. You can't download from PC and send to Vita without having a Vita that already has the content though, so it's only useful as a backup for those of us that used the bug.

At least the framerate is better. It was really iffy on the PS3.

Hoping to buy this game since the gameplay is revamped.

Yeah the game seems very smooth. Only neptunia I played on the consoles was Victory and that was pretty framerate janky. Re;Birth is smooth for the first part, with so far, the only framerate drop I've encountered was after you open up the menu and proceed to run

Yes, a re-recorded dub for the new localization, and correct me if I'm wrong but I think ti has dual audio?

yup

I've been looking for Freedom wars on the Internet to preorder it. But I can't find it anywhere. I've tried in Amazon.es and UK, Gamestop.es and Zavvi. Only the latest has it but really overpriced, it costs 50€. And I don't really like that site.

Shop4es.com has the game but is no available for preorder either...

No, PS3 transferable only Vita games can't be transfered from PC/Mac browser.

I guess we'll have to wait until Sony announces a release date until retailers start accepting pre-orders for it. At least there will be a physical release now.

What's the status on Olli Olli PS4? I'd love that as a cross play title, though I'd also love to see new content/characters. Such an addicting game on Vita.

I want it on PS4 just so I don't have to stretch my thumb across the Vita every 5-10 seconds to touch the screen so I can restart a level.

It seriously bugs me so much I don't play the game any more

err oh I guess maybe that number represents how much space I have left of the GB?

And if there is no limit to the amount of saves, why does it have that number there at all?

So, Road Not Taken...

What do people think?

First of all, it's the rare game where they didn't just give the writing duties to the cheapest writer they could find. It's well written and actually funny.

Secondly, what a crazy mish mash of genres! I hate Sokoban games, but because of the breadth of different genres mashing together and the fact that the "puzzles" are randomly generated... this game is keeping me intrigued.

Lastly, it is HARD. I really don't have the brain chops to wrap my head around the sliding mechanics yet. I'm slowly getting better, and I actually find the accidental reactions of two items hitting each other quite hilarious.

What do you think about it, GAF?

Thanks guys. You saved me $10.

I didn't need to buy that Genesis collection any damned way.

Writing is great. Witty, occasionally chilling
I failed to rescue a child in a level before I died...the villager who lost their kid was saying some WEIRD shit. I'm pretty sure the death drove her insane
.

I would not believe you if you told me it's a puzzle rougelike. It...it's a puzzle rougelike, though.

Hard as fuck. First two levels are babycakes. 3 I lost some energy I didn't need to. 4 I died and was in way over my head. There are apparently 15 levels.

Love that you learn secrets that carry with you through plays (I hate when bestiary/etc type stuff doesn't carry on to New Game Plus). Villagers are also RNG. Seems really cool. But hard. Going to try again.

Cool. NISA always included dual audio, good to see IF International doing the same, even if I don't use it myself. Might use JP voices in the idol game if I can get it cheap I guess, dunno how the english singing voices are.

I don't understand Proteus. So I wander around and look at a bunch of trees and chase some rabbits? That's the game?

It's mostly about chilling out, but there is a certain thing you can find at night that will be your "progression" in the game.

If you don't mind spoilers, look up the trophies I guess. I have no idea WTF most of them are for, but that should add some gameplay.

Am I crazy, or if you die does it start you over every time from the first level?

It is a rougelike. Yes, if you die, you start the whole career over again. You can teleport back to the mayor and leave if you've saved at least half the kids but it seems like bad things can happen. I have no idea what happens if you abandon before that happens, game hints it's a bad idea. But abandoning a few kids can prevent you from dying, might consider it, since a perfect playthrough will probably best be done once you have more knowledge of the game.

Give gold/berries/etc to people and they might give you equipable items that can make the game easier. The item they want is in green, stuff they hate is in red, neutral is black. Only bother giving thme green stuff. If you're colorblind...I'm sorry. I don't think there's a colorblind option unless I missed it and there's no non-color cue, other than what they say.

Oh, and it autosaves, so you can just quit the app. I was a bit pensive the first time I closed the game. Puzzles will not be the exact same next playthrough either.

Touch the rocks.

Basically, yes. 1024 refers to 1024MB which is 1GB. I should have phrased my previous post better; you can have any number of saves, but the amount of space they take up cannot exceed 1GB/1024MB. When you said the number showed 980/1024, that means you have already used up 980MB out of 1024MB/1 GB. So yes, there is a limit, but it only refers to the amount of space your game saves take up, not the actual number of saves.

Banned site, and I only found such news on Nintendo-centric sites. Did they just say "same platforms Guacamelee was on"?

They were basing their news on this interview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15Byb0-_nok#t=734

Around 11:20 he talks specifically about Wii U and PSVita: those platforms make sense as the game is touchscreen based and the engine already works on these consoles.

Also he says that they plan to release the game early next year

Rising Star is in charge of La Mulana EX for Vita

Maybe its FF Type-0 for the Vita.

Oh man don't even joke.

Changing subject - I don't really get proteus either. I'll go through it once though. The trophys point to things you can do or see although it's very vague. Use a trophy guide if you want some objectives of things to see.

Can't imagine the amount of hate tweets Shahid gets each week; don't think he's gonna live down the Type-0 announcement short of actually getting it on Vita.

I see Dynasty Warriors 8 Extreme Legends... is on sale on UK PSN at the mo. Did they patch it up so you could remove the blur etc ?

I agree. Shahid has done a lot of good work for the Vita. Is he a hype machine? Yes. Does that leave people looking for AAA exclusives disappointed? Absolutely. But he does work.

Keep it up. Cheers, Shahid.

he's an adult, some lights years old. he does it everytime so he should what is up, all that sympathizing is all part of his plan and whatever shit he post is all PR stunt. you fell into his trap.

they still have to be reminded theyre very incompetent even if it ends up being type 0 or bandai namco title
