Pep isn't mad about the result, he is mad about the fouls and ref performance. I may be biased but seriously, the MLS All-Star players were way too aggressive for a simple friendly. People could have gotten hurt and that isn't the point of any of this. Some of those challenges were extremely questionable and the ref decisions were disappointing most of the time because they let a lot of things slide just because of the flow of the game, which I don't agree with.
That isn't to say that I like Pep at all, or his strategy for this game, or his attitude. It also isn't to say that the All-Stars didn't put in a good showing, I was impressed by the MLS players. That said mid-season form vs pre-season (including the majority of starters that haven't trained since the World Cup ended). It was also sort of our weaker side at the start. I would say that the home team had a lot more going for them in this match-up.
Speaking of not liking Pep. Ughhhh. I get why he likes possession football, but we didn't even hold it that much and we were completely open to attack the entire game. We played the whole game in our half, or at least it felt like it, which is disgusting. Where is the chance creation? You can't go for just the unmissable goals, Guardiola, it doesn't work like that. Also, on staying in our own half, what the hell was with our defense? They ran all over us in midfield at times, and they were going through us and passing long over and over again and we did nothing like that's fine. No the hell it isn't. Possession football is ok if 1) you have the ball, 2) you are attacking, and 3) you can actually fucking press and defend. I love Bayern but that was some of the worst defending I have seen in my life at times. And our passing was also atrocious. I know it is a friendly and all but I have some low expectations based on our obvious faults right now.
I really hope he proves me wrong.
Edit 2: There we go, added my last bit.
