I don't understand how we're linked to Jack Wilshire. Anyway, it's not going to happen but my impression was that he was Arsenal's midfield version of Giovinco.

Arguing over which footballer is better than the other is fucking stupid either way. I do find it funny how people try to undersell Yaya's contribution to City all the time though.

How is Lallana described as a one season wonder but Ramsey is the best midfielder to ever kick a ball in the history of known football.

Ramsey had a great season but calm yourselves

@ManUtd 52s
#mufc reserves vs Manchester City: J Pereira; Vermijl, McNair, Thorpe, Varela; Janko, Pearson, Rothwell, Lawrence; A Pereira; Wilson.

Subs. Harrop. O'hara. Goss Willock. C. Evans

Harrop and Goss are talented players too who just made the step up to the u21s. I see both as potentially being squad players in the future if their development goes well. Goss is basically another carrick. He's slow, but can score long range goals and has games where his passing is great like Carrick in his best years.

Arsenal will get a great DM destroyer when United get one. which is

Thus the balance is kept.

If Arsenal sign William Alfonso Ribeiro Carvhalho in the window I fancy them to win the title.
Why?

He isn't an elite midfielder. It's not like signing Pogba or Fabregas or Vidal.

It's like signing Victor Wanyama for twice the asking price.

He's young so he could have a break through season. On the other hand, he could flop. There's no way of knowing, but at the very least he'll break up attacks better than Flamini and Arteta. Arsenal will improve.

Ramsey better than Toure? ehhhhhh

Can't choose. I think Ramsey can control the game more than Toure and his form was consistent while Yaya looks hella lazy sometimes.

Is he an important player or does he just fill an important role, if you know what I mean?
I don't really think there is much of a distinction but if you want to split hairs, he fills an important role. Provides cover at many positions and is a very capable starter. He's a great player to have on the team -- I think he will end up signing a new deal at some point personally but I guess we'll see.

He is 22. This is as laughable as when people say this season is make or break for him. Less game time will probably be good for him honestly.

Fuck knows how much damage his injuries did, but do you really have faith in him reaching the heights that he was on track to reach when he was 18 or 19? He's a worse player now than he was then, and shows very few signs of getting back onto the upward curve, let alone a curve steep enough to reach the level he should have

I just wanted to use William Alfonso Ribeiro Carvalho in a sentence.

Plus I think Steve Bould can work his magic on him.

Yes? He is 22. By all accounts his ankles are fine.

His all around game is better now than it was then. His biggest issue right now is trying to do too much, which is the same problem Ramsey had.

He is much better going forward and in the box than he was in his first season. I think it's a case of people overrating his first season and underrating his past 2 seasons. He was very good when he came back from his 17 months out. Arsenal fans were going crazy over how well he was playing.
