*tears*

Speaking of 3DS stages, looks like there'll be a Star Fox and Wii Fit stage. Not like I doubted it, but nice to know.

Any ideas?

I assume Star Fox will get a command stage, don't know about Wii Fit though. Maybe the pokemon pedometer? That's sorta health related.

Looks excellent! I wonder if all characters will get a GB-style paint job for this level or if Sakurai just selected Dedede and Kirby because they already have retro-themed palette swaps.

The Smash booklet is included in Corocoro TV, which isn't on sale until the 12th. :D

Scans from the Pokemon section of that magazine, at least, have surfaced though.

I think I'll try analyzing the e3 trailer closely today but one thing I noticed was that Multi man melee was in the trailer. It's amazing there's a lot of details that we haven't really talked about.

So are we all assuming that the stage will cycle through a series of Game Boy games being played in the background? Dodging descending Tetrominoes sounds great to me. Too bad Nintendo will probably not get the license just for a Smash gimmick. :-(

The Tetris Company owns the rights to the usage of Korobeiniki in games; yet it was licensed for Brawl - doing so for a stage might also be possible.

I just notice there's holiday in Japan next week, maybe no PotD next Wednesday to Friday.
And a direct the week after next week.

Well, Sakurai and the team are working pretty hard right now since they are getting close to release date. I meant he worked on his birthday during weekend, so I'm pretty sure that they are working during holiday to trying to finish Smash.

I'm assuming we've talked about this already? I've been in and out of the thread for the past week, so I probably missed it.

I saw one of those screenshots brought up earlier in the thread.

But I hadn't seen this, so thanks for posting.

(lol at the guy practicing Falcon Punching)
Don't worry, there's still another one left.

So good.

Damn, 12 thread. I can feel the release is close and on that note when does 3DS version release? I haven't preordered yet...

Hmm, thought they said summer...

Edit: Actually wasn't the game delayed?
Kinda soft delayed. Oct 3 is hardly summer, but there was never a real date before that. And September 13th could be argued to be part of summer maybe.

It's October 2 in Germany and October 4 in Australia, but those are inconsequential.
Thanks for filling in the gaps! I live in the US, and I'm eagerly looking forward to finding everything out from the Japanese release, but I've never been aware of the other dates. Cool to see that it's practically worldwide, if not for that darn Japan.

Maybe that's the Gameboy's Final Smash. He ejects the cartridge before the system turns off for massive damage / instant KO to whoever is trapped.

Probably just a new, tiny stage.

Are they different? They're both releasing o the same day.

I thought they were, but I've never bought anything Corocoro, so I may be the wrong person to ask. ^^; For what it's worth, though, no one knows anything about a leak on Twitter right now.

Sakurai has posted PotD on every single national holiday up until this point, so I don't think obon is going to stop him. (Hell, the man worked on his own birthday!)

That Dedede palette is always said at various sources to be GB inspired but I never associated sepia with the GB. Green (like this stage) and B&W are the usual GB palettes. Or is it based on the default SGB or GBC palette?
