Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

Elthunder is a more powerful version of Thunder. They're different tomes you can equip in the FE games.
basically, Elthunder=Thundara, Arcthunder=Thundaga

Thoron is, uh, idk, Thundaja?

I know their function in the FE games :P

I mean in Smash. Doesn't seem to be different from Thunder (unlike Arcthunder trapping enemies or Thoron being a beam)

Elthunder is Hispanic thunder, it strikes with the zing of zesty seasoning and the gong of the Taco Bell

Ah this must be it :P

If they didn't shelved the project, then there would be a chance that we could have this character as playable character.

What could have been. I was looking forward to that game.

HW Impa is meant to be HW Impa, just like how the incarnations of Link and Zelda are unique to that game.

Well sure, since HW is a spinoff (isn't cannon.) but it's obvious that the design came from SS, similar to how Ganondorf has a very-Demise influence.

If we see Impa in smash, I really hope it's the SS model, as that's easily one of the best character designs to come from Nintendo in recent years.

HW Impa is a cross between OoT and SS Zelda design wise. She has a very similar build and skin tone to OoT Impa.

I don't know if anyone had this idea before, but you know what I'd like to see in the Wii U version?

A special mode where you can play as Master Hand. Add multiplayer functionality to it for good measure.

One person controls the almighty hand using the Gamepad while the other players have to battle him. Said Gamepad user can also use things like the touch screen and the motion controls to use some of Master Hand's attacks.

I mean, if they want to promote the Gamepad and its multiplayer possibilities, this seems like a good way to go.

Mate, I'm not in this thread terribly often, but even I can tell you need a new record.

Oh, boo hoo.

If you think that the current roster would be good as the final one, considering all the characters we're missing from previous games and the small amount of newcomers compared to previous games, then you have really low expectations for smash.

And we don't even have any bloody Earthbound characters currently revealed, how anyone can say they'd be ok with what we have so far is beyond me.

I'm pretty sure spindashing is black so he probably really meant it.

Anyway, back on topic: So, what games do you think will be represented in the Game Boy stage?

Wasn't doubting his sincerity, I just found it ironic.

For the stage, I think Tetris is the obvious choice. Kirby's Dreamland and Super Mario Land would be good choices, too, especially if there's some music from SML. I'd really like to hear remixes of the Chai theme or the ending theme. I'm sure they'd pick Birabuto instead, though.

When the fuck was I doing any spinning? Jesus christ.

I said people who are happy with how the roster is right now, without any other characters, have low expectations considering all the missing characters and low amount of newcomers.

Apparently that means I'm saying people hate Wario.

No, people are happy with the roster as is and anybody coming back is garvy.

Agreed; the only thing I really don't like about the roster as it stands is the lack of Ness. Obviously, I want (and fully expect) a couple more newcomers and a bunch of vets, but if this was the final roster, I'd be okay with it.

Its kinda funny but I absolutely loved SS designs until I saw Hyrule Warriors designs, now I hate them in comparison.
HW just killed it with their designs.

After HW Zelda and Sheik I just can't go back to SS.

I am absolutely content with the current roster as long as every Brawl veteran except Snake and PKMN Trainer returns, plus about 2 more non-clone newcomers. I do feel it's necessary for the Xenoblade IP to be represented in Smash, so Shulk should be in, but other than that I don't really care who makes it in. A 49 character roster sounds absolutely fantastic, especially with the fantastic additions to the roster we've had thus far.
