And Varrick.
No wait. And Zhu Li; fuck Varrick.

The episode has officially aired/been released so there is no longer a need for spoiler tags. Pretty much once Friday is here and it's gone up online officially, it's on the user to stay out of this thread until they get around to seeing it.

^ Haha, awesome comic. Zuko owes Toph a nice long ride across the world on his Dragon.

Fantastic episode. Loved Asamai + Korra shenanigans in the desert as well as the developments in Ba Sing Se. It had nice bits of adventure, comedy and action. Loved it.

Fucking Nick facebook spoiled the death for me though. Showed a picture of the queen and were like "This episode will leave you...breathless". At least finally we see an advanced Airbending technique.

Red Lotus people are just so badass. I kinda am rooting for them, and they seem sorta likable as well.

Good to see Zuko again.

After becoming a corrupt chief of police, Toph abandoned her responsibilities of being a parent and then went through a mid life crisis and became a hippie to walk the earth "to find herself".

that's one way to look at things I guess

when korra called asami "the engineer" i dont think ive ever been more powerful

it was like sozin's comet briefly passed over me

Okay, so Zuko finally shows up again. I'm assuming we're going to see Opal and the Tenzin group during the next episode. A lot of characters to keep track of.

And yes. Just how far is the Y7 rating able to stretch? My goodness.

Earth Queen has always reminded me of BET President, Debra Leevil.

Anyways, great episode! This is what I've been waiting to see.

that was some real shit from zaheer. it would be a shame if they wrap it up neatly yet again in the finale.

that's a huge flaw with the korra series. villains don't really bleed over to the next season.

If you guys watched the leak make sure to rewatch it on Nick.com or one of the other sites...

Does anyone have the problem when the try to skip a little forward the video skips to the end of a segment?

True

Amon? Gone
Unalaq? Fuck that guy

i feel like zaheer and crew will get rekt by korra somehow at the end of this season but the red lotus stuff will make it into the fourth book and we'll get to see the true raid boss

i cant help but wonder how sokka zuko tonraq etc managed to capture these guys in the first place

Even if Zaheer didnt have the skills back then he still seemed to be coordinated enough to play off of the groups strength.

I wouldn't be surprised if it does become a 2 part story and goes into season 4.

Zaheer by himself deserves another season after the shit we saw this episode.

I would still be weary about how they wrap this up. I still feel like there could be more to Zaheer then we think, and the writers will throw us a curve (and make him more of mustache twirling villain). Or basically, Amon all over again. I would love for Zaheer to be this morally gray/complex character, with a plot arc that carries deep into 4.

And obviously I love this season, and am coming off a high from it (like all of you). But the shoow has been pretty awful so far with their track record of ending things. And as far as we know, they are still sticking to the self-contained plot arc format. There is nothing wrong with being optimistic (given how good this season has been). But I still think we should adjust our expectations.

As I said earlier, it kind f rubs me the wrong way how going after the Queen and throwing Ba Sing Se into chaos was something Zaheer did on a whim. His main goal this entire time has been to capture Korra. It's the ONE goal we know is 100% of. All his talk about taking down governments being the groups goal, is just something we are taking his word for. That taking down the biggest oppressive government in the world was a plan he did on a whim for the sole purpose of just luring Korra there (so he can grab her), kind of makes you question what he said about the groups goal. It's not really adding up IMO.

Zaheer didn't have omgz airbending back then, yo

but Ghazan alone is a spectacular hassle, i figure. P'Li and Ming-Hua are terrors too. like... how do you even fight them and succeed without being the Avatar?

i could see Katara beating Ming-Hua because Katara was a bad bitch, but they don't mention that she helped (that i recall anyway)

I am really hoping they aren't going to neatly wrap this up in 3 eps, and they changed their mind and will have book 4 continue this story.

What I want from the next 3 episodes: a build up to where we finally see the red lotus' motivation and enact a long term plan that will be the focus of the 4th season.

what I expect from the next 3 episodes: the red lotus enacting their plan and korra goes super saiyan and stops it and we start over with a new villain in season 4

after how enjoyable i have found this season so far, I am really hoping they don't drop the ball at the very end, but alas I still have no faith in them.

When I first loaded the page, a message came up about putting in the password for my cable provider. Luckily it didn't come up after I refreshed.

And then when I was watching, the video would randomly skip forward, and then go back to the part where I was. It did that 4-5 times.

It was definitely a lot easier watching it on tv.

I'm just going to say this now. Should they drop the ball in the finale, and ruin Zaheer's plot, I still think this was the best Season of the show. Easily. Just from an entertainment/technical writing perspective. Episode to episode, I loved everything up to this point. Should they fuck it up, I know some will say it retroactively ruins the season for them (which I guess I can't blame them). BUT I'm very happy/content with Book 3.

I don't know why you
send a 4 man crew to transport the avatar.

Also,
"you're the engineer. That means you get up on the tail wing and zap it for no particular reason."

episode for episode it is the best LoK has ever been. Every episode is rewatchable to me.

the next episode could be this
followed by this
and finishing with this

and I agree it would still easily be the best season of korra, but alas I wouldn't be able to call season 3 a worthy sequel to the original series at that point. If they continue the quality up to this point all the way to the end though I would call it a worthy sequel to the original series though.

Yeah...as much as I loved Asami finally getting something to do, I kind of felt like this b-plot was sort of...clunky. It kind of felt like they were going through the motions, setting up these little things for Asami to knock down, so everyone could praise her. And the situations were pretty laughable vs. having her do really awesome things against a more dire situation. I dunno, it was just sort of strange for me. It felt kind of hollow.

But I wasn't even going to complain, because Asami is deep down my favorite character still. Been waiting for her to get some time in the spotlight. <3

Yeah its been a fantastic season after all the issues Book 2 had and i'm really looking forward to hopefully seeing it stay at this level for Book 4 unless they really screw up the finale
It's just as you said they're not the best at wrapping everything up, so here's hoping they don't screw it up again
