It's lines like this, the dumbass "alien theories" of Izzy and the moment I heard Matt's "moving right along folks here's a bunch of irrelevant signs" where I felt I wasn't watching an official translation but instead one of those Youtube Abridged Series where they're just making fun of the animation/story and character themes and whatnot. And just every one that isn't made by LittleKuriboh, it's trying way, way too hard to be funny.

Not only does it immediately take you out of the show, it's just plain fucking stupid. I grew up with the dub as well and I can readily admit it's hot shit.

sadly, thats probably never gonna happen, i would love if the new show was some alternate universe that would retcon some of the stuff in 02, especially that godawful ending, with new stories and ending, but what is most likely gonna happen, is if the new show is gonna follow tai and his highschool days, they probably gonna introduce a love interest for him

Almost every season has tried making a reason to bring back the past evolutions late in it. Of the first 5 seasons, Adventure is the one that does it the earliest when they

Everything that Zero Two did was lame, I mean the Digimon emperor saga was pretty good but then the series just imploded on itself and never recovered.

Plus the new cast weren't interesting.

A lot of the TaichixSora stuff was only in the dub, and if anything they could do things to make people like the relationship between Yamato and Sora more(though I doubt people will ever let it go).

That was my theory as well. There's no mention of them together(unless it's different in the japanese version) and only this image showing that they had kids. It might have been the creators way of pleasing the other fans while sticking to his original intention of still implying they were married and had kids.

That rumour sounds like total BS. I think the creator was just too stuck with what he wanted even though he developed a better relationship bewteen Tai/Sora. He said he always planned for Matt/Sora(BLERGH) and that since season 02 wasn't planned, they were just going to have a different ending for season 01 showing everyone as adults.

Meh. Rika is awesome but Matt shits all over Koji. Better Digimon too. Hell, the design is basically a garurumon rip off. It's not terrible but it's not better than metal garurumon or were.

I guess I just really like Tai and Matt's dynamic. Matt is a dick but it's also understandable why he's that way. I liked that Tai was there to call him on his bullshit when he acted out of line. Also I liked their broness in the movie. Izzy was obviously just as amazing in the movie though.

My issue with Matt is in season 02 where it felt like any actual friendship between Tai and him was barely there. It just made Matt completely useless other than getting with Sora which also sucked.

Only other friendship I really enjoyed after first season was Tamers cast where Rika, Takato and Henry were great.

If they get rid of armor digivolving (no idea what the level was), none of the season 4 digivolving where there was no idea how to tell if they were mega or not, and get Mimi and Joe going out then it should rock.

Also, for the final episodes, get better writers and animators!!! The last battle in Season 1 and Season 2 were kind of let downs in terms of a final battle. Season 3 did it alright tho.
