I don't. It's a possible that we could get Ganondorf's reveal on the day of Hyrule Warrior's release date. Aug 14.

See, you just answered your own question. We want Ganondorf to have a moveset that is accurate, and since WE like Zelda, we appreciate that he is more deserving of a sword slot than some other potential newcomers.
Unless Sakurai mentions Gamescom like he mentioned the Nintendo Directs and E3 don't expect anything.

Real ass story: My garage got robbed late one night when I was playing Melee. By that time the neighborhood figured out what was going on (they were hitting all the houses that night) and they ran off. THEY JUST CARELESSLY DROPPED MY TELESCOPE ON THE STREET.

You wanna know what smash needs, a stage near a skate park with kids and teens playing in the background and you fight on it.
Nintendo needs to make a skatebording game.
Also it needs an airport level, I wanna fight in that mario kart air port, you start inside where the people are waiting for planes and then you make your way outside and fight all through out the air port. You would never fly like the pilot wings level.

I expect a normal direct, save the Smash direct for WiiU version.
We haven't had a normal direct in months, everything's game specific now.

Smash 3DS Direct might happens at last week of Aug to first week of Sept, but it could be early or so.
I don't think they want to hype Smash right now since they are focusing on Hyrule Warrior. I really hope that we would get our Dorf this Thursday but I had a doubt about it tho.

Why do you guys bitch about too many sword users and then want Ganon in with a new moveset that gives him a sword? If anything, I want Hyrule Warriors Longhairnondorf with his classic trident. I'm not a huge Zelda fan in the first place - not in the sense that I don't like it, but I never really played any of them because I'm more of a sci-fi dude - but I mained Ganondorf in Brawl. I mainly want the trident and him to get an SSB4 depiction along the lines of what he looks like in that huge-ass vertical fan mural of the Zelda chronology:

I think the lack of normal Nintendo Direct broadcasts has been due to Mr. Iwata's medical condition. Regular broadcasts will hopefully return soon as he returns to full duty.

I believe the Pokemon info was in the regular Corocoro magazine while Smash is in the corocoro.tv magazine. The latter hasn't leaked yet.
How do we know CoroCoro has some new info?

Every direct containing more then 3 games count as normal direct IMO, so E3 and third party direct. There's chance for a Smash direct before 3DS version release, a normal direct during or before TGS, a MH4G direct in mid-October and an ORAS direct in early November. It feels right to have a normal direct in mid-August, after Hyrule Warriors released. On the other hand, Maybe a Bayo2 direct in mid-September?

This is really cool... but I've been looking over it and is Fi really the only Skyward Sword representation on this thing? No Impa, Groose, Ghirahim or Demise? I'd think Demise at the very least is significant enough to the universe to include. Or was this made before Skyward Sword actually came out?
I share your irrational optimism. If Charizard can count for some part of Pokemon Trainer returning, I think it's fairly likely that SSB4 won't drop anyone. And even then, a reworked Squirtle/Blastoise or Ivysaur/Bulbasaur/Venusaur would be a fairly easy secret or DLC character to implement.
