That's horrible, and the whole situation is scary as hell.
What do you think is missing here? Do you think the black kid had to have done something to get shot otherwise this makes no sense?

The only thing I could see justifying the cops' actions would be if the kid was armed and trying to shoot them or someone else, and I get the feeling that if that had actually happened, the department would be singing about it to anyone they could find.

Kind of absurd someone can be shot ten times with absolutely no details about why he was shot being out there. Especially when there seems to be a lot of witnesses.

I can't find a single article that discusses why shots were fired, so how the fuck could you already know that it was unjustified, that it's time for revolution, or whatever?

Why wouldn't they?, so far there isn't much info on the story bar what has already reported - there was an angry mob of people (and from the sounds of it, justifiably so) shouting things like "kill the police" (this is not so justifiable IMO and really doesn't help at all), of course the media are going to report that.
Because we live in a world where it's not particularly uncommon for people of color- specifically blacks- to be hassled/arrested/murdered for absolutely no justifiable reason?

They need to throw the book at this this guy so every other cop out there will maybe finally start to think before they pull their gun. This shit gets so ridiculous because cops know they can shoot first and ask questions later and the worst they'll ever get is a little extra vacation time.

You probably should not have included my statement my friend. It was merely an explanation for the psychology behind escalating police violence regardless of the factual circumstances. Police are on edge. This is not a justification for their actions. It is merely to humanize them. There are serious threats out there that police officers fear for. Consider that, and remember they are human.

Not to get OT but shoulder mounted cams on police officers are being tested here in Dallas. I couldn't find the story but I remember seeing it on the local news not too long ago, don't know if they're still doing it or how many officers have em.

You're not not right. Maybe emotion and history are getting the better of most of us, but that it's become (and likely has always been) so endemic, that it's the first conclusion we jump to until further evidence convinces us otherwise.
