Famitsu editor: Big PS4 title at TGS

Paging Y2Kev.

This isn't impossible at all.

They've publicly hinted at it already, and hinted that they want it on consoles. And this will definitely debut in Japan first.
If DQXI appears on PS4, it will likely be PS3/PS4/3DS/WiiU
/XB1
to maximize sales and exposure. I can't see a mainline DQ going exclusive to a console that is performing poorly at the time of announcement.

Don't do this to yourself guys, this hype train ain't worth it. Remember all the other times famitsu has hyped something, the time when we thought it was persona and it ended up being Kamen rider.

What I want but don't expect: Dragon Quest game. Last guardian. Persona 5.

What I don't want but expect: FF13 Lightnings Revenge. Dragon Quest X port.

I think yours pulling a bit much from Horii saying he wants to play the next game "on a big screen".

I don't even necessarily disagree, but "they" haven't hinted at anything and Horii's comment being a hint of any kind is debatable.

Because ICO and Shadow of the Colossus were awesome, and this is the next game in the "Team ICO" trilogy?
The team is hit and miss for me. Reason why I don't believe the hype. I don't care for Ico, never have. Felt like a tech demo with an annoying escort mechanic that I never found fun. Shadow of the Colossus was pretty fun, despite the colossi mostly involve being taken down using the same climbing tactic. Zelda style bosses for few hours was pretty alright.

Before anyone says "Well you probably only played Ico on the PS2"; I didn't. I owned and beat both Ico and SotC on both PS2 and PS3. Even then I still dislike Ico greatly.

Dragon Quest XI is in Development and will be made for Home Consoles
Siliconera

"According to the report, Horii announced that they’re currently working on the development of Dragon Quest XI, as the series nears its 30th anniversary (in 2016,) and he wants it to be played on the big screen.

He reiterated his previous statement that it is not being for mobile devices, but he also added that it’s also not being made for handheld consoles, but they’re currently developing it for the home console."

I don't speak Japanese but it seems pretty clear to me.
