Fuck Bayern

5 days to go

m8 you gotta win the league to get that monkey off your back

trust me, winning la liga meant nothing while la decima was missing. its time to join us in the sun.
We're Arsenal though, not Real Madrid. We dont have Ronaldo, Bale, Rodriguez, Modric and a team where losing a player like Di Maria doesn't really matter.

For us winning the league is hard. Not only does it require us having a near perfect season but it will require our main rivals City and Chelsea to have poor seasons. That's a lot of dominoes that need to line up for that to happen.

Have you seen Sterling?

People still anticipate Sonic games. Bizarre.

No, I don't expect us to challenge either. I mentioned in the post you quoted the miracle it will take for us to win it. Liverpool and Arsenal will be lucky to make top 4 cause one of us ain't making it.

Ah, I see. Thought by main rivals you meant that they're your rivals right now, while we're incapable of breaking into that group. I wouldn't be surprised if any number of unexpected things occur tbh

I think there probably will be a decent sized gap between 2nd and 3rd come the end of the season, but how many times have we said that only for the final table to end up looking nothing like the predictions?

Have we done predictions yet? We should collate them again this time so we can all laugh at me when I predict Spurs to win the league.

Damn you AVB

What I meant by main rivals is they are the favourites. United, Arsenal and Liverpool can win it but it will require a perfect season while things going wrong for Chelsea and City.

City - Aguero, Toure, Silva and amazing depth

Chelsea - Fabregas, Hazard but there best strength will be Mourinho and their exceptional defence. They can shut out any team in the world.

Our clubs have very good players but I don't think we have that exceptional talent that others do. Nor does our depth go as deep.

Still can't believe City got that much work from Arsenal. Makes me feel better about picking Sanchez over Toure in fantasy. I know applying confirmation bias from preseason games is dumb as shit, but I just can't help myself.

Arsenal beat City 3-1 last pre-season too, on the same day (10th of august). That one stung more since City played a team somewhat close to their real starting eleven.

So glad we are not in the EL we can just focus on the league and maybe a cheeky run in the FA cup.

I don't think we have the quality in depth for a run in Europe and be consistent in the league.

We need a CB maybe even two and a world class signing either in the middle or wing and get rid of some deadwood.

Teensy bit funny that one day everyone, including City fans, is wanking over their squad, then when a mixture of the A and B teams gets absolutely battered by Arsenal that goes out the window

I wish Arsenal and Liverpool dominated England for the next 5 years.

But it isn't possible.

Why must evil triumph

I'd barely call it a mixture of A & B, 8 out of 11 starting players belonged to City's B (and C, Boyata) team. Two of the ones from A played 45 minutes each. Missing A players were Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala/Demichelis, Fernandinho, Negredo and Aguero while Silva came on at 45 for Nasri.

As I said, I'm not worried. I'm sure with Kompany and either Mangala/Demichelis back, City will be able to play the football they want, both offensively and defensively. CB pairing really hurt City yesterday, never really comfortable to play the ball out of the back or defend.

TV Show watching guys.

Hannibal S1 is on Sky on demand, I've got Ep.1 downloaded. Shall I watch this show?

I watched two episodes and haven't continued further. But I heard it gets better as the show goes on, initially it just seemed like a show trying to be idk too clever for it's own good?
