Do you think Nicklodeon would give the the LOK and ATLL team a chance to animate the comics? Or have the creators said they do not want to?

For serious? That's amazing.

For serious. I'm pretty sure it's only been mentioned outside the actual series though. I believe it was said that it it was the first peaceful transition of power/he was the first fire lord to willingly give up his potion while he was still alive.

One thing to take into mind when theorizing about Zaheer's real motives, is that he had not one, not two, but FOUR world leaders in the same place and decided to let them live or didn't even try to capture one of them.

I'm talking about battling Zuko, Tonraq, Desna and Eska. I know, they weren't exactly overpowering them THAT much (Tonraq was only taken down because he was outnumbered and out powered by P'Li, but he seemed to hold his own against Zaheer, for a time). But still, if they were really interested in brining down all world leaders, they would've at least kidnapped one of the Water Tribe chiefs, or Zuko.

Hmmm. The Red Lotus seems to be really going after Korra first and foremost. The Earth Queen's death was moved up in order to attract Korra's attention after all, even if sooner or later Zaheer was going to kill the Queen anyway.

Another thought: How popular are the Water Tribe chiefs and the Fire Lord? The Red Lotus seems to be banking on the assumption that everybody hates their leaders, but I doubt that's the case of the Southern Water Tribe and the Fire Nation, for example. And Zaheer also kind-of acknowledged that Korra herself is popular in many parts of the world, by threatening the Earth Queen with revealing to the rest of the nations that she had Korra (Amon knew this too, that the Avatar had a huge following).

So, again. Are the Red Lotus' plans to make the Avatar unpopular somehow or does he not give a damn and simply wants to cause chaos, wether that means the world being against him or not?

Damn. These are all really good points.

I'm not really sure it's about chaos specifically (even though people have been using that word). They're still holding back on what it is that he actually plans for the Avatar, but his intentions don't seem fully hostile so much as he wants to use her for something.

Even the rest of Team Entropy don't know exactly what Zaheer is planning. We really need an episode that shows why they follow Zaheer so unquestionably.

Wasn't it that they're all part of Red Lotus, he busted them out, they're all old buddies and one of them is romantically involved with him? So even if two tried to defect, it'd be 2 v 2? And the two strongest are in Zaheer's camp?

Not to mention that chances are Zaheer could probably beat each of them one on one if he was the leader of them pre-bending.

Honestly hoping this spills a bit into season 4. The optimist in me wants to believe that season 4 will basically be the full background in Red Lotus, regardless of how this goes down with Zaheer.

I figured that the reason Zaheer and his crew didn't kidnap or kill th water tribe chiefs( Zuko ain't the Fire Lord anymore, his daughter is) is because he was focused on breaking out P'Li. They whole don't get distracted from the task at hand thing. They didn't know if back up was coming or not and they were defeated and taken captive before so breaking out P'Li and getting the hell out of doge was their main concern.

Totally random thought, but I wonder how different The Last Airbender would have been if Azula and Zuko actually got along and were friends instead of mortal enemies.

Very random.

They would have burned the world to the ground.
I was just wondering if Azula would have still blindly followed Ozai after Zukos banishment if they had gotten along. Would she have grown to hate Ozai because of what he did? Seems like it woud eventually snowball and change a lot of things .
Interesting "what if" scenario imo.

Yeah, but using that line of logic, shouldn't you argue that air and water are the same since they both share oxygen in their molecular construction?

Pull back far enough, everything is just made of molecules and atoms and so on until you get the smallest measurement of reality. Which also fits in with the show's mythos, actually. the whole "All is one" thing. But it makes the show more fully realized if you look at it from the lens of classical elements, where as if you look at it scientifically, you see a lot of inconsistancies or the characters not realizing their full potential.

Except spirits and the spirit world.

Interesting well Aang would definitely not lasted that long if they were both working together to get him

How many episodes is this season supposed to last? Feels like we still dont know a lot, and lots of unresolved issues. But mostly, I'm actually really enjoying this season and I dont want it to end :(

13 episodes in total. 3 more left, last could be a double.

EDIT: It is.

These are good points, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if Zaheer's "Chaos is the natural order! We must bring down all governments!" shtick is nothing more than an act to get Korra sort of unbalanced, or to get her to act in a predictable way. Given how much of a spiritual adept Zaheer is, and how badly they want to capture Korra, I think there are other plans.

M. Night has said why he did that. I don't agree with it, but he does have a reason for it.

Got a link to what he said, I'm curious to see what his explanation is about the different pronunciations

Nevermind found it http://www.wired.com/2010/07/shyamalan-airbender/

Wired.com: What’s behind the changed pronunciation of the some of the main characters’ names, and even the term avatar?

Shyamalan: For me, the whole point of making the adaptation was to ground it deeper in reality. So I pronounced the names as Asians would. It’s just impossible to pronounce Aang the way it is used in the series. It’s incorrect! I can’t do it. So I just pronounced it correctly.

Wired.com: So the series dropped the ball on that one.

Shyamalan: Aang isn’t “Ayng,” it’s “Ahng.” Iraq isn’t “Ee-rack,” it’s “Ee-rock.” It’s an opportunity. I don’t have to make the film for little kids on Cartoon Network; I’m making it for the world. And 85 percent of the people who are going to see this movie have probably never seen the show, and I want it to be legitimate. I’m Asian. What can I do?

To be honest, I understand his point of view. However, I still think that even if the show's pronunciations are "wrong" its still the source material and it needs to be said like it was on the show. Can you imagine if they said Kirk or Spock wrong in the new Star Wars movies?

Honestly I was never sold on Asami. I agree, she feels like she doesn't exactly fit in that group let alone that world at times.

i agree. mako and bolin make sense with each other because they're brothers, and they made sense with korra because they were on the team together in season one and mako and korra were dating in season two (and bolin was there with mako).

asami is the person all of them know. she financed the team and dated mako in season one, but she has no reason to stick around the group.

considering season three has sort of no reason for nobody to be around each other, i wonder how it would have played out had the four of them all been doing their own thing and then each one would get some sort of dramatic entrance when they actually had something to contribute to the story, not unlike iroh in season two.

I think Asami design somewhat bothers me because it's almost too detailed. She is the character with the closest to proper sizes and styles and she sticks out to the more Cartoony characters.

Seeing Meelo and Asami near one another is jarring as hell.

Still love her as a character though

Am I the only one that thinks that Asami is quite the hornbat..? In the ep In Harm's Way when she spars with Korra you get quite a good look at her nice arse. Well I wouldn't kick her out lol.

Maybe I need to get out more... :o/

One other great thing about her is that if you end up going out with her, because of her engineer background, any homemade porn movers are going to make you look hung like a fucking horse lmfao.

Yup. I need to get out A LOT more :o(

sooo, the bond with korra, mako and bolin that happened and the decision to go against her father is not enough of a reason for you?
they are friends, not mercanaeries/soldiers... personal skill and strength doesn't matter in this. (atleast thats what i think)
fuck, she lost everything except for her few friends...

What's the over under on these happening:

Suyin is the second villain.
Tenzin dies.
Asami dies.
Toph becomes ruler of Ba Sing Sei.
Bolin becomes president of Ba Song Sei.
Bolin learns lava bending.
Bolin learns metal bending.
Zaheer doesn't get finished and the battle continues in Book 4.

Lmao. Referencing one of the greatest posts of 2014.

Suyin is the second villain. still possibel or she has her own interests for book 4
Tenzin dies. not likely, i think they won't touch this character (atleast i hope so :'( )
Asami dies. not likely
Toph becomes ruler of Ba Sing Sei. i don't think so but could be possibel
Bolin becomes president of Ba Song Sei. i really don't think so, would "destroy" team avatar
Bolin learns lava bending. very likely for me
Bolin learns metal bending. could be but would be lame
Zaheer doesn't get finished and the battle continues in Book 4. i would hope so, but i have no idea what the contract says. only heard it was demanded that each book was a cicle, but the way nick treats korra who knows. maby they said "fuckit, do what you want".
