- Half of the people who signed up for the tournament won't show up.
- People who don't frequent these threads will sign up as well, but sole of them won't show up either.
- Despite all of that, there will be too many people that do show up which would make the tournament last forever.
Assuming this is done within the first few weeks. The TO would have to deal with all of that.

Actually that's slated for January.
When it first got delayed it was planned for December 3rd (at least in North America).
But other than that I agree, it's a pretty different situation.

I can see Smash getting delayed, but they are really wanting this for Christmas. I can see it being December instead of November though to work out the issues. November for Captain Toad and December for Smash. That way they do not have two big games on the same day (looks at Zelda and Mario).

I don't know if I would consider Captain Toad a "big game."
Captain Toad isn't nearly as big of a release as Smash Bros, though. But in the case of ALBW & SM3DW, both were on different systems.

I could foresee that Pokemon and Smash have a potential to be released on same day, just like Zelda and Mario.

I agree, but Nintendo is pushing Captain Toad enough for his own game. I do not think Toad and Smash will get the same release date because of it.
I can see it happening as well. Nintendo needs to learn to space out their releases.
This, they aren't afraid to launch a 3DS & a Wii U game together, & 2 big games could put a lot of attention on Nintendo.

I wouldn't mind if Wii U was delayed, November like people are expecting seems...too soon. I want more time for the 3DS Version to breathe, also there's Hyrule Warriors and ORAS which I want to give time and attention to.

I'm a zelda nut, so normally a zelda game would always be number 1... but smash has link and zelda, too, so technically it's also a zelda game in my mind
And it's a better zelda game than hyrule warriors.15 stock, sudden death mode, items set to S-Flags and Stars only, on Palutena's temple.

As far as I can tell, Ars Technica thinks Smash Bros. for Wii U will be delayed because it's already got the longest time difference between date of announcement and date of release. So, because it's taken so long, it will clearly take longer.What's this delay talk again?

Smash 4 was announced without a trailer, unlike every other smash bros. It was announced prematurely to help sell the Wii U. If we count from initial trailer to release, then no, it's not the longest. I mean, wasn't it announced while KI:U was still in development?
That's quite a huge leap to suggest it will be delayed because of that.

If this is fake, it's very well put together. Ness has his own unique color like all the other characters, and I've never seen that particular render before. Why is he listed before Lucina though? Don't new characters usually show up at the top left?Ness confirmed!
I was trying to come up with the opposite of the NIFOFD setting and the GB stage got a lot of flack so I can only assume it's the arch nemesis of Final Destination.

But yeah, my friend list is pretty empty. Unless I already have some of you added from Pokemon friend safari shenanigans. I pretty much don't want to add people unless I know them personally or I'm about to play against you right now. Otherwise the friend list just gets filled up and cluttered. Depending on how Smash 4's online works, having the list full and cluttered maybe a good thing. I'll wait and see.
