Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

Then that's a long list of names if you really get into customizing, unfortunately. Inky's solution is one of the best. At worst, it's one extra button press, at best, it means i'm more likely to actually use custom moves.
For custom moves its a good solution.

But you still have to somehow acess one individual mii from your system. And them choose the visual equipment, thats why I think it has something to do with the names.

Also, they could add a slot for customizations on the CSS, like names, you set them before and just selects them after choosing a character

Super Bash Sisters Tournament?

I'd love to join, but when this game comes out I'll be back in college and I can't play games over WiFi there. School blocks it :(
Does your school have Wired internet connection? If you have a laptop, you could use it as a hotspot for you 3DS/Wii U, at least that's what I did,

It's EmCeeGramr telling SmashGAF to stop being creepy.

Be wary though, if they explicitly tell you not to do this and their IT department is somewhat competent, they can find out.

... a sizable game collection that could quite easily get me out of it, though I'd rather die than get rid of my collection so I'm not going to let it get to that stage.

Don't bank on that. From personal experience, the money you invest in your hobby is not an even exchange. Things you think you can sell and easily to recoop the original loss rarely work out that way. Especially if you need the money quickly, you run a huge risk of having to liquidate at a massive loss to your original investment.

I spent thousands of dollars on valuable trading cards with a thriving community and populated eBay consumer base back in high school. Now I'm trying to sell a lot of my collection and it's a very slow, difficult process. I'm taking a loss with every sale.

And I didn't listen when somebody warned me in this would happen. His hobby? Games. Hundreds of PS2 games.

$50 a piece original retail, collection of easily 200 games. He had to sell for a tenth of what he put in because he was in your exact spot.

Oh, there wasn't a rule against it in my dorm.
Ignore my advice if it is not allowed at your school, Zorfendor.

I think jigglypuff is a girl in smash canon, especially if she's based off the jigglypuff from the anime
Jigglypuff's gender was never stated in the anime.

I have a graduate account with a £2000 interest free overdraft for 2 years (2nd year it's only up to £1000 interest free though).

I'm about £400 into my overdraft after buying the 3DS.

The way I see it, there's no way it's not going to be paid in 2 years. My income at minimum is £300 a month until I can find a job (which I can't really at the moment considering I'm moving out in a few weeks).

Yep, I'd still probably pay double what I have already to get the capture card just to stream it for 2 months with no regrets.

Oh dude, that's pretty ridiculous. I don't mean to be "self-righteous" and tell people what to do, but manage your money right. We don't want any of SmashGAF to be left in a precarious situation.

I'm not expecting a return on my investment in any way, but I'd expect to get atleast a couple of hundred quid for what I have considering all of the boxed stuff I have.

Boxed older games, especially the popular/rarer ones seem to go for a lot more in this country than they do in america, it's actually been really annoying in the past (paid ~$70 on ebay for a CIB Smash 64), but I don't think I'd find it hard to russle up enough to get me out of my overdraft if I was truly desperate.

I also have an ISA with a grand in it, but I'd like to avoid going into that for as long as possible.

What's with all these colleges without wifi or with rules against using it? I never lived in the dorms, so maybe my school was the same way, but wifi was always available in the student union, and I don't believe anything was blocked (not that I ever tried any site that was liable to be blocked in such a public place, but still.) Granted, the connection could be a little iffy, but it was at least functional.

I forget about greninja but IIRC most Charizards and Lucario's are male. So the assumption that one is male woudn't be too far fetched because most of them are and the male end espcially in lucario situation is the one they push for summer slam.

I believe jigglypuff is the opposite.

Greninja, Charizard, Lucario are all 87.5% male, while Jigglypuff is 75% female

(Pikachu is of course 50%)

well actually the wifi is fully functional.....for everything other than consoles

yeah I don't get it either

This is sort of coming out of nowhere, but I'm really hoping a lot of you guys are going to stick around post-Smash launch; I'd hate for this community to breakdown too much. I know it's going to happen to a certain degree, but I hope we have some sort of community going throughout Smash 4's lifespan.

Who here is planning on posting in the inevitable Smash 4 OT long past the first few weeks? I feel like we should have some kind of weekly/biweekly online meet-ups, though it all depends on how good the spectator mode ends up being.

Just be careful, is all. I would hate to hear you or anyone wound up in the position I'm in now. It's good to have an escape plan, but make sure it's not just good on paper. My eBay is currently sitting full of auctions of mint-sealed packs of Pokémon promos of which I own some of the only left in existence. No watchers.

I had this at my dorm as well.

You can just change your console's MAC address to the same as your PC's and it works fine.

I'm going to be streaming friendlies, organising local and online tournaments and basically streaming almost every day so I'll be sticking around for a while.

I'll be here. I've been trying to stay updated and be a constant poster nowadays. Also I've recently switched shifts at my job, so now I work from home during the night. I'll be on GAF a lot more now!

Also I'll be playing both games like crazy and hopefully I'll enjoy the competitive meta for this game a lot more than Brawl.

I've been here since the beginning of this crazy ride. Not leaving anytime soon lol.

How exactly will the threads work post-launch? Will this series of OTs continue on, or will it be replaced by separate OTs for the 3DS and Wii U versions?

Regardless, I'll definitely stick around. If there are separate threads, though, I'll probably hang out exclusively in the 3DS thread, unless I rustle up the money and willpower to buy a Wii U. But I probably won't.

I will still be here.

And until the Wii U launch, those OTs will still be on the gaming side of the forum, so I dont expect things to slow down that much.

Well it might land on fact that they might used outdated wifi bands that aren't supported by 3ds but I don't remember which one tho.

I didn't realize you were just getting the 3DS version. All the more reason for me to jump between the two!

Well to be fair we didn't have much to talk about apart from random next Smash Bros predictions.

takamaru's a shoe-in guys

his recent apperance in captain rainbow makes him way more relevant than nobodies like little mac, who's only popular in the west
