Maybe. I still believe that the older designs are better based on their simplicity, even if they're not the super-most practical stuff. Like, this one knight from Awakening I posted, with that huge ass shoulder piece? That is over the top. Maybe not over-designed, but over the top. I feel like simpler character designs lend themselves much more to being easily recognizable because, well, they're easier to memorize.

I actually mostly agree with you, haha. I really enjoy Yusuke Kozaki's sense of aesthetic and style, though, so I'm fine with most of FEA's character design choices - it fits the tone of the game, at least.

but enough about that
