Hahaha. Watch this be the exact case.

Even if Metaknight had his same broken properties from Brawl at least he wouldn't be quite as overwhelming since he can't glide anymore. The 6 jumps or so will usually let him get back but at least now it's not a guarantee with gliding gone.
 
Probably old, but I just realized with Metaknight's reveal, we're at the same amount of playable characters as Brawl (if you count each Mii Fighter separately.)

Everything else stays the same. MK was fun to use in Brawl, so if you just nerf him completely across the board (slower up air, slower dair, weaker nair) he'll become boring and shitty.

They could make it where he unleashes a small tornado from his sword that travels forward on the ground, knocking players into the air. That's one of his moves in the newer games.
 
Maybe its just me, but I think the Smash 3DSXL bundle looks kinda tacky. Looks like someone slapped a sticker on it with the Smash text logo

I was hoping for an awesome stylized Smash Ball logo or something, or maybe the logo of all the character franchises. But not in red though, maybe a nice royal blue or green or something.
 
I checked out the other pic and love how the Dragon pokemon are just chillin in the background in one of them. A what did they do to his up-b?

This, KI:U, and Resident Evil Revelaitons are all modern miracles. Hats off to all those involved. Luigi's mansion has its moments, but it still feels like a handheld game at times.

Sorry, what I meant is that through most of the game, the graphics didn't make me think 'wow, how on earth did they pull this off on a system with this little power'

KI:U, Revelaitons, and Smash 3DS put most other games to shame with what they're able to pull off.

What's the debris from? Is that in the background?
 
Seeing that description of the Pilotwings stage kinda reminded me that some of these "empty background" stages bum me out, like in Brawl how there wasn't a single Pianta to be seen in the background. I know it'd take a little more effort, but I think it'd be worth it to make those stages feel alive.

I remember playing Wii Sports Resort and doing the flying game and night and just seeing all the Miis going about life on the island: having bonfires on the beach, sitting out by the lake under the night sky. I feel like the Pilotwings stage would benefit greatly from some Miis running around on the island. Again, I know this means more happening on the screen so it'd be harder to pull off with crazy stuff happening in battle, but it's doable and worth it. Skyloft is another offender. I mean, just put the Skyloft NPCs in the background at the places where the platform lands and have them watch a la Animal Crossing stages.

I saw a Mii with a jetpack floating in the background of the Pilotwings stage in a video from E3.

Huh, that's pretty cool. Somehow I haven't seen that. Still, I think to capture the feeling of that island they could throw in some Miis riding around on bikes and in cars and walking around on the street. I know the stage is based more on Pilotwings Wuhu than Wii Sports Resort Wuhu, but it'd be a nice touch.
