Hey, I won't judge. It's not like I expect the meat industry to disappear. I just hope people keep pressuring them to treat the animals better.

I've been vegetarian (barring the anchovy-based Caesar dressing) for a couple months now, ever since I moved into my new place. I'll still eat meat at social functions like a friend's BBQ, etc., because it's already there and the deed's already done and whatever. But in terms of what I buy, for myself and my pantry and my fridge, I stick to non-meats. :-)

Same boat. I recently was interested in dating a girl who was vegan (haha, it's always a girl), and just the thought of how much diet would change seemed impossible. Big kudos to those who do it, though.

Also, since I feel like I get this thread off-topic too often...do people want a Warioware stage more or a Wario Land stage?

Man, I'm reading posts a few pages back, and its baffling how almost everyone thinks some of the characters already revealed are unlockables.

Sakurai...isn't going to show off anyone you have to unlock. There would be no point in that. Not even for third parties. He did that for Brawl's third parties but that was probably only because it was new and he was nervous with them or something.

Theres just no point in revealing a character that you have to unlock. Seriously, of all of these threads arguments, this is the most stupidest one. All characters on the site (AKA not G&W...yet...) are starters. Yes even Toon Link. Yes, even four FE reps, and lol at anyone saying Lucario or Greninja.

Sorry, just had to say that. Always get worked up when I see this argument...
 
Am I the only one who's finding the 3DS UI ugly so far? The main screen looks alright, but it could easily be better if the shapes lined up correctly. The character selection screen looks downright hideous though. Who thought it was a good to completely fill the entire top screen with character icons? It looks like something the developers patched together during development for internal use. Another thing, why does the time and battery life have an entire section dedicated to them on the bottom screen? I would get it if the bar just appeared occasionally, like if the battery was running low or something, but why does it need to be displayed 100% of the time?

I'm not feeling the rest of the UI either, everything just seems out of proportion with the rest of the game.

I should note, I'm not opposed to dating carnivores or anything like that. Ultimately, I just expect a person to not be apathetic toward animals. There should at least be some level of concern for the well-being of animals, even if it's just treating them well before they're, uh, "processed." The more regulations, the better, I say.

Dude, why have they not used that style again for something? That and the art style for the new A Boy and His Blob would be amazing in a new Mario sidescroller.

I'm definitely going with the 50 Character roster now, it just seems to fit. Snake and Squirtle/Ivysaur are cut...and Shulk and Chorus Kids are probably in as well, even if Gematsu was "BTFO" I don't think Gematsu pulled them out of thin air.

The only question remains is if the 50th Character Space is Random (maybe it'll be chosen a different way on the bottom screen), or another character? I saw a post on /v/ today, another rumor, that was Ryce's roster + Mewtwo, which seems like a possibility since Mewtwo was being promoted when Smash 4 was being developed.

Either way, I'm holding expectations in...I think we only have Shulk, Chorus Kids, and then a low-effort newcomer like Dark Pit or an easy-to-do character like Mewtwo returning.

When you're focused on Smash, do you listen to music or not?

I'm asking because whenever I play solo on SC or LoL I have music on, not loud, just any beat so I can focus on the game and ignore the audio with all the rest, I need to listen the SFX of the game too so the game will be always louder.

The character select grid isn't as nice as I'd like, but there are limitations with such small screens. And the battery life and time seem pretty useful to me.

99.99% of the rumors on /v/ are fake as hell due to the nature of the site, don't bother putting any merit to them.

It's actually a huge pet peeve of mind if there's any sound not coming from the game itself. But I have a bunch of buddies who do the same thing as you.

Pretty heavy with the conjecture there on the bolded. There's not really evidence to suggest one way or the other (aside maybe from MM and Sonic being playable in demos).

I think you're pretty much right though. Unless characters start getting revealed much faster, I think we'll get the rest of the veterans+2-4 newcomers as unlocks.

oooh, A Mario platformer in the style of this would be sooo good.

Anyway, as much I'd like a Wario that revolves around Wario Land, I had a lot of good memories with the WarioWare stage in Brawl, so I wanna see more of that.

Well only when I get tired of hearing the songs constantly or the music does not hype me up in the the fight.

I do it constantly in LoL and most fighters.


EDIT: Maybe I should add that I edit the music or turn off the BGM and play one for myself.

I don't listen to music when I'm playing any game (unless maybe if I'm just grinding/hatching eggs in Pokemon or something like that).

The in game music is part of the experience.

Meeeeeeh. Don't really care for him :L Don't get me wrong I absolutely see the appeal of Ridley. Metroid's one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, (not as of recent) so another rep from that series would make sense.

We already have Charizard fulfilling the role of cool-giant-dragon.

Depends on which Wario Land. A stage based on Wario Castle with Captain Syrup coming along with one of her many mechs and vehicles from WL2 might be fun.

In all seriousness I'd be fine with Ryce's roster, though part of me wants that Duck Hunt/Koopa Clown Car leak to be 'legit' as well (assuming Mewtwo/Ridley/Dixie are considered a part of it), ignoring some of the weirder cuts it has.

Wasn't there one leak that insisted Meta Knight was cut due to balance reasons? Bad timing on the creator's part since it was only a couple weeks ago.

Well, yeah, it was probably fake, but it was pretty held back compared to most rumors and seemed like a likely scenario.

More or less, replace Mewtwo with someone else or just Random, I could see this being true...

Luigi, Toon Link, and Lucina are clone characters, so I could see them being unlockable despite being shown...sort of weird to have clones and their base forms both starters, imo.

I totally agree with you, but there are times that you're kinda focused and having background non-game musics actually help. I only do this on competitve games, whenever I'm playing any other kind, any exeternal sound will ruin it for me
