MGSV for PC officially confirmed

Wow, I guess I'm going to have to upgrade my PC pretty soon! Hopefully this will lead to other MGS (and maybe even other Japanese games?) coming to Steam! If not, it's still awesome news! Exclamation point!

That depends on how well it sells on PC. If it sells well on PC, then I'm sure you will see more MG on PC.

Hmm, so do I cancel my PS4 version pre-order or not? Fantastic news. I honestly didn't expect this.

Well that depends, I dont know your case.

Personally, I am buying on PS4 still, and when I get a capable PC, I will buy at a cheaper price then (sometime end of this year/next year)just for mods. Not to actually play through it again. Still, right now, I dont have $500 for parts for new PC parts, that I am eyeing.

How would PC gamers even play this? A keyboard? How does that even work? If you held it like a controller your thumbs wouldn't reach all the buttons so how would you hold it?

I don't know about you but I have an Xbox 360 and PS3 controller that I could easily plug in and play.

Because obviously once No Man's Sky and Bloodborne come out for PS4, no new games will EVER come out for it. :P

No Man's Sky is coming to PC.

Some people only buy consoles for exclusives that interest them. Not everybody may be interested in the currently revealed stuff. There will still be plenty of console/PS4 exclusives that are going to be revealed in the future though.

Utterly fantastic news. If I build my PC before it comes out, I'll get it there. So happy to hear this. Go MGS!

Excited about Metal Gear Online being on Steam.
Not excited for Konami Login ID, Konami Servers, no Steamworks.

pure speculation on my part, but Konami gonna Kon

So if i decide to build a new pc, what will i need to spend to get this game running better than the ps4 version. Am guess 1,000 , idk idk what to do, invest in a new tv and console or fully commit to a pc

You should really ask the PC building thread, but if you want some real advice, a couple of questions first:

-Do you have any old PC to salvage parts from? (Case, PSU, keyboard, mouse, etc). These costs can add up and salvaging them from an old PC is viable.
-Do you want an HTPC, i.e. something small and console-like to fit under your TV, or are you ok with a behemoth?
-Define "better than PS4." Are you looking for something that merely bests it, or a monster rig?
-Do you have a windows license you can reuse? If not, no biggie, you can get one off of reddit for like $5, but you can save a footlong if you have windows 7 or whatever already.

$1000 can build you an absolutely killer rig depending on your answers. As in a VR-crushing rig. You don't need to spend that much to build something that'll top a PS4.

$1000 could get you a very nice PC. I say commit to PC, but I'm biased since that is what I'm doing

PES 2014 has online support and steamworks integration

neither Castlevania game lacked steamworks integration

Obviously the best decision would be go full Steamworks. No need for Konami to provide server upkeep costs or any kind of backend login information.

But, as you said, Japanese publishers generally aren't logical.

Admittedly, I know nothing about PES, but if Konami used Steamworks for the online system then that bodes well for MGO.

Did the Winning Eleven titles on the PS3 use PSN or did they use the Konami ID crap that MGS4/MGO did? We need to see where the precedence has been.

Hmm. Konami themselves published the PC version where I live. This regional thingie is confusing. What about other Konami games? Are they available in Taiwan?

Random note: Konami and Capcom games are not available in Steam Japan.

The only Konami game on Steam in taiwan is Castlevania Lords of Shadow 1.

The only Sega ones are Genesis/MD games, Warhammer, some DC ports and Company of Heroes.

I went on their twitter on see if this was a real tweet, and it was. :)

So good.

Is it the CPU letting me down? it's an i5 4670

Well like back up for a sec - are we talking about building a rig for VR, or something that'll run MGSV fine? Your CPU is absolutely fine for MGSV, my last post was about VR games specifically, since you included my phrase, "VR-crushing."

I would still get it for PS4 because of the controller. Kojima usually makes good use of the console specific features.

Ground Zeroes didn't really take much advantage of the DS4's extra features. I doubt it'd be different for TPP. Plus, the controller works really well on PC.

VR. What would $1000 get you? Just curious because I spent close to that amount not long ago
