MSNBC needs to roll with this. They're about to interview the two journalists who were arrested. I'm sure they are the only national news outlet covering this, they're ratings must be going through the roof.

good coverage gets ratings. good for them.

“I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a “more convenient season.”

Reminds me of Nina Simone's "Mississippi Goddamn." Specifically, the part about "go slow."

Where the fuck is he?! Get your head out of your ass and do something! You're the Governor!

Obama, I don't know. Nixon needs to fucking handle this, and it astounds me it hasn't already
Uh, he already gave a speech:
Nixon's press secretary, Scott Holste sent a response noting the governor spoke at a community meeting about the protests in St. Louis County on Tuesday night.

"Since Monday morning, the Governor has been communicating with many community, faith and civic leaders, in addition to requesting the DOJ investigation," Holste said. "And I trust you saw his remarks to the standing room-only crowd at the church last night in north St. Louis County."

Did someone really suggest that the Ferguson police were blocking it from trending on Twitter? That kind of epitomizes my point last night about the nonsense being spread around.

Facts about tonight:

A. Cops are dicks, but there is a lot of antagonizing

B. Protest group is smaller tonight. Peaceful groups are out during the day. The night crew is different.

C. There were no gunshots or army coming that scared off the cops. It was a small group of people that refused to turn around when ordered. They may have thrown something.

D. This is all taking place in a very small area. If you move up or down the street a bit it's pretty quiet. The city of Ferguson as a whole is not under siege.

This whole event just seems to be getting blown completely out of proportion on social media an on here. I'm glad the local news has toned it down a bit.

fuckin cops arrested a reporter for not evacuating a McDonalds fast enough, just after saying "We can no longer guarantee your safety"? lol the cops are doing far more to jeopardize citizen's safety than anyone else.

I don't tweet so I don't know what people mean by "It's trending on my feed." but here's what's on the actual What's Trending page.

Hello Seattle

Yeah. An episode of Space Dandy trended worldwide once. It's weird how this isn't.
Not that I'm 100% if stuff like this tends to be popular trendings normally, but it kinda goes to show how phucked up the average person's priorities are in this world.

I mean, just look at the things that tend to get the most views on Youtube :S
