But the game is still on parity between all platforms. The CE just has some extra physical goods on one platform, with no bearing on the actual game's content.
so does destinyDidn't watchdogs have exclusive pre order stuff for the PS4?
Doesn't matter they spent quite a bit of time talking about how they believe in parity across all platforms. Even if it isn't in game content it still goes against that. Don't get me wrong they are free to do what they want but it's kind of funny that they made such a huge stand on parity and then drop it so easily.
Good point hmm.I think the resell value of the map and cards might be high. Lots of hardcore PC Witcher fans... Wonder how limited it is.
Is this to do with the fact that I believe the collectors edition hasn't sold out yet on xb1 but has on PC and ps4.
People love to complain. This isn't even as bad as having exclusive content for diablo 3 for ps4 or very long timed exclusive content for destiny. Those games still cost the same on every platform despite getting less content in some. Paying to help add extra physical stuff to your platforms CE doesn't seem all that evil although it sucks for the people who are getting other versions.
that content is based on Sony ips though
that content is based on Sony ips though
so does destiny
Way to spit on the face of the platform that the series called home.
I doubt CDprojeckt had much of a say in this but it's still not nice to see.
I would have considered buying the CE if the PC version had this many extras.
There is still parity though. If you buy the game on Xbox One and I buy it on PC we are both getting the exact same game.
so tell me about xbox losing in game missions in assassins creed games and watch dog

yeah THAT is shitty, but when its based on a first party ip thats diifferent
(FYI I played those AC and watch dogs missions, they were all shit)

It's still extra content for the same price. And it's content that actually makes a difference in game. Don't see any reason why there couldn't be some Halo content or something in the XBO version.
Good, this is how exclusive-"content" should be done. No locking people out of certain parts of a game(including timed), everyone gets the same game.
I am betting it is 100% CD Projekt decision.
I don't think you understand. Namco Bandai doesn't have decision making power here. They're not publishing the game. They're shipping it to stores.
Not if I buy the Collectors Edition then there is no long parity. Again I am not saying this is unusual or wrong I am just saying its funny because they made themselves seem above Ubisoft and others who do this. Exclusive content is exclusive content whether it is a digital or physical good.
This is still bad.
Quality shouldn't be a factor though. Playstation games are getting a more complete product than Xbox gamers for the same price. It's no different to me.
These things are shitty but I don't think it's a big deal if it's physical things and the game is still equal across the 3 platforms.
Ah that's weird of CD Projeket then... and the price of the CE is still the same which is odd, may seem like a silly theory but any chance these bonuses were added cause preorders for the CE were lagging on Xbox One in comparison to PC and PS4?
Eurogamer said:"We are treating all gamers equally," Iwinski answered me.
"We'll not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms, nor will we artificially delay release of the game on any of the platforms because somebody's paying us money for that. It's definitely against our values. We are not doing that."
And breathe.
"What we are doing in terms of marketing cooperation," he added, "you'll see that at E3."

Why would they? Last time I checked the xbox version of destiny is the same price as the Playstation version and it's getting less content at launch.I just lost a ton of respect for CDPR.
I trust that the prices for the other versions CEs will be lowered accordingly to account for offering less content now, yes?
But the games are the exact same. That is parity. Some bonus physical goods that mean nothing are irrelevant. Especially when it's only with the super expensive CE of the game. They are no where near as bad as Ubisoft.
What, for the people who don't own an Xbox One, but have a desire to break out the Gwent decks at a sleepover?
oh yeah I get where you are coming from, but dlc like those dont even register with me anymore, 1 because as I said they are generally shit.
2 because rarely does it have any impact of the actual story a game is telling.
3 the content tends to be rather throwaway in general, like a bulletpoint to put on marketing to say this product is better with us when really it holds no real meaningful value.
I am not saying it is as bad as Ubisoft but when a company spends so much time saying they are better than everyone else it looks worse when they fall in the mud.

So do you not believe this bonus content to be throwaway? I suppose it's entirely subjective but I don't really care either way. Then again, I never intended to buy the CE but I can imagine someone who was maybe being a bit peeved.
I want the damn cloth map.
