Yep, seriously don't understand how anyone can defend this other than out of feudalism. CD Projekt Red said no version of the game would have exclusive content. This is exclusive content. No, they don't get to get away with it because they obviously meant digital content and not physical. They lied, straight up, there's no two ways about it.
It breaks my heart that they did this really. I would just not expect them to do so.
What in this is a shitty business practice? Ms is adding value to their version of a collectors edition with their own money. Would you also whine if a retailer (like walmart) is giving out a $10 coupon if you buy a specific product from them rather than at another place.
It is a shitty business practice because the end customers, in fact the most hardcore fans supporting CDP with most money, all pay the same money, without getting the same product in return. It is irrelevant who pays for it. As I wrote before, either CDP/Namco should have done this on their own for every platform, or for nobody. Doing it "exclusively" breaks their promise and pisses off people. What is so hard to understand about this, I will never know.
It is not even about the cards or the map, per se. Main point is the principle of it. The "we treat everyone equally" of it.
