PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

Took the plunge and just bought Disgaea 4. Just beat Akiba's Trip (3 times) and now ready to move on to this. First time I've played a game in this series. Wish me luck!

ah yes! I bought it near release I think. I enjoyed what I played of it but the OCD to get everything 100percent really gets in the way. maybe I should revisit this.

haha I don't what it is with me and games. sometimes it feels like I'm punishing myself (the way I play)

ditto this. this is exactly how I feel. it's that excitement of trying something new, the possibility that this is going to be the game that's gonna draw me in.

hhahaha I have both I think except the latest one that just got released. it's the same problem - wanting to 100percent/perfect play through is gonna hinder my enjoyment
 
Two weeks until I can officially join the 64gb club!

In the meantime I need to finish P4G, and finish my plat for Tearaway. Still have Rayman Legends in the tank that I haven't even started. Not to mention FFX and X-2 that I've barely played. Basically my Vita is one giant backlog.
 
I know I'm not the top of the page but Phantom Breaker is more fun than it has any right to be at $12.

This ATLUS PS2 sale is killing my bandwidth but easing the pain of losing my 60gb a little.

I wish DQ VIII and Rogue Galaxy were on the store.
 
Gravity crash ultra just popped up on the vita store. Although I already have the also version on my vita, I double dipped anyway. Not played it yet but anyone that likes cave flyers should definitely get it.

Is distracting you from your ever-mounting backlog a good thing?

I've finally pre-ordered Tales of Xillia 2 and I even have some spare money! That doesn't happen all that often. I'm thinking about selling Bioshock Infinite (have it on PS+ anyway) and maybe some other stuff in order to get a Vita game like Danganronpa or Ys. I need to save some money in order to get Freedom Wars or Tales of Hearts (the one that launches later would go to my Christmas gift list) and KH1.5 budget release (for 20€, Amazon says it launches this Fall).

I hope we see some info about FW soon. This is really, really annoying. Like price and release date. Hopefully SCEE delivers and releases it at a budget price like SCEA. 30€ would mean 25€ at Amazon, which would be a pretty damn good value.

YES!

Tearaway is probably my favorite game on vita.
 
On the PS3 there is a "download list" that lets you find titles you've bought, where is that on the PS4? I know I have compatible PS3/PS4 games but they don't automatically show up in the library and searching for them manually in PSstore is a pain in the ass?

they should up under My Library on your PS4
 
Odd, I know they aren't because I was able to manually download Flower and only then it showed up. Nothing else is. I'll poke around some more.
 
When did Sony add a price to the quick view menu? I just noticed it while inserting BF4. I already own the disk but under the rate button, there's like a price of $49.99. What? That's terrible placement, especially if you already have it.
 
I'm trying to play Um Jammer Lammy on my PSP, and the audio for Lammy's/PaRappa's responses isn't playing. Is this a known problem with this game?
 
Anyone have problems with Live on Playstation bugging out?

I started it to show my bro the feature because he wants to buy a PS4 and thought the feature sounded cool, but when I went to search for Surgeon Simulator vids (since they're hilarious) no results came up. So I backed out to the main page and now none of the thumbnails of streams will load either. And when I tried to back out to the home screen it just gave me a blue screen with the animated ribbon, like no content would load.

I had to manually put it in standby and when I restarted everything seemed fine. But once I went back into Live it started doing the same stuff. So I backed out and went into Share Factory and it wouldn't load at all. Just the blue screen with the ribbon again.

So yeah, probably not what a potential buyer wanted to see. Anybody else have problems with this?

flandy asked me if psp's rss thing worked a few weeks ago, and yea, it still does

"just" (PSP's browser was trash back when it came out so imagine the delight of using it in 2014) load up the rss feed of your favourite podcast in the browser and save it as a channel
 
It turns out the case I've been using for my Vita has been scraping the backside, as well as the flaps for the cartridges and accessories. Sigh. Only soft pouches for me when I someday get a 2000.
