Perhaps because we get constantly updates for Smash 4. Anyway, I'm planning to buy both because I have a family that would play Smash 3DS with me.

I just saw the awards thread. Apparently the publisher has to pay to get nominated. That's ridiculous. :lol

Only exception being the consumer award, it seems. Pretty much the only legit award.

Not enough Ridley talk to be honest. And to add to that does anyone think that if Ridley doesn't make it in as playable the constant talk about him across all Smash message boards will give Sakurai the impression that he shouldn't be skipped out of the next game?

Nah if Sakurai wanted him in he would have been in by like Brawl.

It's time to accept Sakurai doesn't care for the purple space dragon.

When he ended up being two separate boss fights in Brawl I don't think you can say he doesn't care for Ridley.

He just has different criteria for inclusion than we do.

If he's not playable in this game then he'll likely never be in, unless Metroid has a major popularity resurgence near the start of smash 5/6's development.



I'm still hopeful he's in, a few of the things that made me think he wasn't have since been changed/removed and I really, really, really don't want to believe that Sakurai thinks Ridley fans would be happy with that shitty playable boss mode idea.

He had 2 boss fights in SSE, he knows that people like Ridley and probably likes him himself to give him 2 fights.


There's actually people that think he was going to be playable in Brawl but for some reason it never turned out and they made him 2 boss battles to make up for it, but I don't subscribe to that theory.
 
Going digital on 3DS because I'll buy the limited XL, but I'm planning to get it physical too after. Yeah, I'm that much of a fanboy.

He just gets really serious when it comes to mario kart.

I demand Luigi mansion stage, but a new one where the mansion isn't haunted and he just has like 8 expensive ass cars in the front.
 
Music I want to see is games that have yet to even get one tune in:

Donkey Kong Land - Blimp Off - The DKC series gets all the love, but the GB games are home to some cool tunes too (mostly the first one) (One could argue that Map Page/Bonus Level from Brawl was a DKL reference as the map screen in DKL uses the Bonus Level music from DKC, but I don't really accept that.)
Talking of DK, how about the other GameBoy Donkey Kong game? 9-8 is a favourite and it's no surprise why.

One series that has yet to get love despite having a rep is the Wario Land series. Brawl focused squarely on the Ware series which is a shame. But with two games coming hopefully one of them gives the Land side of things some love. Train Stage from WL1, Wario's theme from WL3, Toy Block Tower from WL4 to name but a few examples.
But since we're on the subject of Wario Men in Tights and Four Seasons from the Ware series would be cool.
(Maybe I should investigate the less obvious titles like Wario's Woods and Mario & Wario from some tunes)

Now a final series that has also not had its music represented despite multiple reps: The Game & Watch Gallery series (see both Mr G&W and the Mario cast rep this). Manhole is a particularly cool little ditty and since it was the title I owned as a kid I gotta give some love to G&WG2.

As a bonus here's a Nintendo tune that has no chance.

I don't know about that. What if Ridley is playable boss for Wii U? I meant Sakurai know that people really want to play as Ridley, so he might thought it's good deal to make him as playable boss.

We will see.

If Ridley's not playable here it's obvious Sakurai doesn't care for making Ridley playable, not that this will stop people from relentlessly hyping up Ridley's chances 5 years later anyway.

I decided I'm going to use my money for Amiibos and just stick with my black XL. There aren't many Nintendo figurines so I really want to get them all.

If Ridley is made playable who can you constantly speculate about for the next game? Ridley already has a role in Smash Brothers, to be the forever speculated.

Eh, I don't see why you would bring up Geno because the fan bases were pretty quiet with Geno this time. I'm pretty sure that they realized that Geno isn't going to happens.

I'm still waiting for those impressions, but I'm pretty sure that it would be same thing that we have hearing about.

When I'm thinking about fighting games demo, I can't help but remember that other companies usually update their rosters in demo for fighting players to give them a shot. Smash is the expectation in this. I know that Demo cost money and time.

They have died down after Brawl, but you never know, he might have a very small reference in one of the mario RPGs over the next couple of years and relight that terrible, terrible fire.

I'm inclined to say who actually cares about impressions at this point?

They've been using the same demo that they have since E3, which is already older than that, with the exact same characters at every event that people have wrote and talked about for yonks by now.

I don't even enjoy watching the game in it's current state (bar maybe 1 or 2 specific matches) anymore. I just want to know what the game is actually like.

I was hoping maybe some people had some more hands on time with Pit. Doesn't seem like there was much said about him.

From top of my head that people said that he's pretty good. He's way better than what he was in Brawl, iirc. That's good enough for me.

Again, it's still early to judge since anything can happens during development.

If they're around 10/15 euro I will try to get one of them every two/three weeks (especially if they come in packages of three like Infinity and Skylanders). Yeah I'd like to have them all too. Probably getting Samus at launch.
