Possibly, but I guess they'll also go random. Like, maybe someone buys Charizard alone and then he has to buy it again if he wants to spare some money getting three at the same time? I don't know how Infinity and Skylanders work on that regard.
Also, the free Amiibo with Sm4sh U is almost confirmed, but we don't know if it's the same one for everyone (Mario?), if it's random and you find out who you got when you open the package, or if it's by choice (doubt it).

Everything here seems plausible. Mario Party would be the new WarioWare (which frees up the Wario stage to be something from Wario Land, wink-wink nudge-nudge,) and that Uprising stage sounds like a real pain, but I could see it happening. Tower of Hera would be the new Rumble Falls.

They could just as easily chuck a couple trophies in there. Look at Melee with its multiple Pikmin trophies or MP3 with all its bumper stickers. I wouldn't expect a stage or anything, but music and art that can be taken directly from the source isn't that unreasonable.

Considering Brawl had Sonic '06 music and trophies and references, Sonic Generations could easily be referenced through music, maybe even as a stage (for example Chemical Plant or something).

Eggrobo already seems to use his Generations model.

The obvious amswer is: Inklings.

They would be the most speculated for Smash 5 if Ridley is in Smash 4.

Third Party Answer: Simon Belmont most likely. But only if Snake is still in this one. If Snake isn't in this one noone would expect a Konami character for the next one.

Pokemon was also probably done way before to prep for the localization, but neither of these things actually matters. Sakurai is aware of in-development games, he'll add what he wants to whether a game recently came out or hasn't even come out yet. There's precedent for literally all these things.

My point was merely that, in the grand scale of when is "too soon," a few months is not way before.

Why are we even discussing "too new" when Sakurai Sat there and included Roy in Melee prior to his game even being released. He does what he wants, and I doubt music would be something too difficult to include into the game even if it's through DLC.

So there's a rumor going around Pichu Bros will be playable in Project M as a way to incorporate both Pichu and the unused Plusle/Minun idea.

That sounds... kind of a cool way of bringing Pichu back as less of a joke character.

Kind makes me wish Smash 4 dabbled with the Plusle/Minun idea.
