For me the problem is that Brown's history shouldn't be on trial at all, because it doesn't matter who he was or what he did. He was unarmed and surrendering at the time. He didn't pull a trigger. He didn't shoot a man repeatedly to and after death.

This isn't the Old West. You can't just fill a guy with lead and walk off into the setting sun. Wilson's history is what matters here. He's the one who shot a man to death and then kept on firing. But the longer this nonsense goes on, the more I feel like we're never going to get the answers the people deserve.

I feel like people who even consider what Brown did earlier that day relevant aren't being nearly empathetic enough. What if that was your son, laying there in that street hours after he'd been murdered in broad daylight? Would you still think that something as unrelated as a minor crime which the murderer had no knowledge of justified this then?

Shit, would any of you like it to go down like this for yourself? To die and have the world bring out every tiny thing you did wrong in an underhanded attempt to persuade others into thinking you deserved to die?

Christ, he wasn't even a grown man yet.

Nail, head.

Did that guy say he was apart of the Black Panther, and Nation of Islam party?

I think he's at least a member of Nation of Islam, and he said both groups were helping to keep the peace, and wants to work with the police to help keep confrontation down

Justice only seems to apply when it applies to people without power. That's what this whole protest is about.

You just can't make the argument that people need to make sacrifices for justice sake at a time like this.

Yep. They are telling them "You're free to protest when we tell you that you can"

And where as well. A few days ago they were talking about setting up cones and you can only protest inside the cones.

They're basically just telling the protestors, tell it to the cows...but they gotta sleep between midnight and 5am. Don't make them go "Moo."

I hope that's all there is to this.

I agree to a bit. They said the officer saw the cigars and was then suspicious. Maybe Brown freaked out and that's when the struggle began. I think the robbery is a valid part of this investigation and incident. If for nothing else than to piece together the chain of events.

Now, before anyone mistakes that comments, the shooting of a man who was surrendering according to two witnesses shows a clear and disgusting escalation of what should have been a simple stop.

Brown struggling is a total non issue, as it seems the officer got his weapon back, and his life was no longer in danger. Chase Brown down and arrest him, sure, but shooting a man in the back? No way should that be allowed.

I think this officer was pissed and was out for vengeance at that point.

The focus on suppressing the public instead of arresting/beginning the justice process with Wilson. They're focusing on the symptoms, not the cause.

Incredibly frustrating.

so the apologists of the thread...

are they even bothering to watch this...or.. ? is it still the turn a blind eye to everything and weigh security videos more so than justice being done in the USA.

Ummm. After she finished her point he immediately said he was taking a different question and acted as if she said nothing.

No clue. I couldn't hear her entire point, so I would imagine in a real life scenario it's even more of a clusterfuck picking up all the random voices in the crowd.

Yeah. That is the theme right now, which is a bit odd.

Basically how these kind of situations have been handled for decades...but progress! I'm so glad the people aren't having this bullshit these officials are trying to pedal.

She was the only one talking bro. And he was listening. After she finished everyone clapped.
