When was the last time Vita got a firmware update?
What else can they add, really?

Did not play Toukiden though. Never even heard of it.
Nick Accordino (@nikoro, SCEA producer) said to keep an eye on the blog this week after asked about the release date listed on Amazon (10/28). So maybe we won't need to wait that long.
Everyone buy this game. I have 80 hours on my Asian import copy and I still haven't beaten any of the 2 arcs, nor have I touched the 30hr patched content. Game is craaaaazy huge, a lot of meat on this bone. If you enjoy RPGs, stats, and want to try a different type of gameplay (skill based with cool downs, like MMOs) you can't go wrong. I'm calling it right now, this is going to be the next Persona 4 Golden.
I watched the show and enjoyed it, well
enjoyed Arc One, Arc Three
Hated Arc Two
But this game sounds amazing!!
Should I feel bad if I'm liking J&D: The Last Frontier A WHOLE LOT more than Jak II? I've tried like 2 times to play that game and I hate it.
What else can they add, really?
Yup the game is that good, and I would place it right next to P3P and P4G as my favorite handheld game of all time, period. Got this back in May when it launched in Asia, and I have been playing ever since then until now, that's almost 3 months. I usually don't spend more than a couple of weeks on games due to getting bored, but this game just packs so much stuff to do, that every day I set myself a different goal in order to progress.
Hope that those buying it enjoy it as much as much as me, and trust me, if you go over to the game's OT (which btw is getting more and more lively as the launch approaches), everyone that played either the JP or the AS copies will tell you that the game is sublime. The patch that got released recently (which the US will get in September!) not only adds another 30hrs, it also fixes the minor things the game had making the game even faster paced, more fluid and accessible. It also raises the level cap to 250 (you start at 99 or something) and balances weapons out, as well as improving the Heroine's AI.
Any thoughts on Counterspy?
This is my personal opinion on the game. And about those hating SAO, you know how it goes. "I hate thing because everyone is watching it". Sure the second arc isn't perfect (I'd say this game would make a better second arc than ALO but I digress) but I don't understand the hate for the series. I for one loved it, and I'm not ashamed to say it *shrugs*
Debating getting a Vita solely for remote play--I plan on going full digital next Fall on my PS4. Does anyone think this is a bad idea? Is remote play not that good? (I will probably try to buy a used Vita)
What else can they add, really?
I think you can hate SAO the anime, and still love this game. The combat is really interesting/engaging and the amount of content is impressive as hell. If you like really big RPGs and open worlds, I think this game is worth checking out. Regardless if you are a fan of the series.
I do think that the game expects you to have seen up to episode 14, but I still think this is just a great game overall, that any fan of the genre would really like.
SAO would be perfect if it had a dub, will still buy however...

There will be references/characters and little things you won't get, but I wouldn't say its absolutely necessary to watch the show first to enjoy the game. The game has a short recap as far as explaining the setting too.Oh, I haven't watched the show -yet?-, is still worth buying? Retail version in Europe (or online pass/multiplayer option?)? I do like long games on Vita (that sleep mode is just glorious, I am planning to buy Disgaea 4 and some Aterlier's games even though I already own them for PS3), but I am not sure if I will follow the story or enjoy completely the game... but judging solely for your comments, it is like I need this game.
I am curious about the sales in Japan too.

I don't even know what's the PS3 store like anymore(other than crap, I mean), just use the PC store for everything
About the issue, does it occur with SR4 only? If so, try to download it again
So I have watched the whole first season of SAO a long time ago but never watched the movie, and I want to brush up on the story a bit before playing the game. Would the movie be enough of a recap to familiarize myself with events/characters important to the game, should I re-watch up to episode 14 of the anime or does the recap in the game cover enough that I would be fine?
E: If it matters, I run on a treadmill 45 minutes in the morning 45 minutes in the afternoon while watching shows on my iPad, so I could get through the first 14 episodes in about 4 days if I watched it while running, so time isn't really a factor.

My only hesitancy in getting SA:O is I will have to buy a new memory card. (I only have 8GB)
so the cost of playing this game goes from $40 to $80.
I don't know if it is worth the upgrade cost on top of the base game cost.
Really wish it had been physical I would have bought it on the first day.

UK: £29.99
EU: €39.99
US: $39.99
It is a expansion, all in one game.Sounds reasonable, especially since I think it comes with the PSP game as well. Is there any info on whether the PSP game is a separate download or is merged with Hollow Fragment? I want to try and conserve memory space

Not to mention 500mb+ patch, youll need bigger card.Welp I'm fucked I still have a 4GB card. Guess I'll go buy an 8GB or 16GB sometime this week then.

Actually. The PSP game is the Vita game :/. Hollow Fragment is Infinity Moment + Hollow Fragment(as new chapter, new expansion etc.) :/.

oh but isn't the Asian version basically the same with the NA except for the localization?
SAO Review Embargo below.
Awesome, look forward to seeing what others think of the game then tomorrow. Both Reviewers and US folks alike.![]()
I'm predicting that the majority will give it at least an 8. I don't see how this game could get anything lower. I mean, not to sound like a broken record, but the amount of content this game gives you for your money is fuckin insane. And the gameplay is really great.
