SCE Japan/Asia Press Conference on 9/1

I don't know if I am remember it wrong but when they did this conference last year they really didn't announce anything at TGS right?

It's confirmed that Sony is mostly talking about the PS4 at TGS so would they hold anything back for TGS or they make announcements at this conference and have games playable at TGS (Indies and games they had a Gamescom)?

too many conferences man. The gamescon and the TGS conference are too close apart. Japanese gaming authorities should move TGS to mid October IMO

you forgot PAX is in between both. I wonder if Sony plans to sit out PAX again (they didn't have a booth at PAX East).

I believe they planned to unveil Bloodborne at last TGS as "Project Beast". There was a leaked trailer almost identical to the E3 trailer, only with that as the title and clearly an older build.

They've announced big games at TGS in the past. Like Dark Souls as "Project Dark" back in 2010. And desperate Sony is known for announcing more titles at earlier stages of development, so I think things are lining up in Japan for some decent reveals this year.

Edit: Misread your post. But original post is below anyhow.

They announced a lot, but a lot of it didn't really have much form:

PS4 JP release date
Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Overdrive
Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign
Deep Down gameplay
Earth Defense Force
Dream Club: Host Girls on Stage
Lily Bergamo (*tears*)
Natural Doctrine
Gundam
The Idolmaster
Final Fantasy 14 PS4 beta
Dynasty Warriors 8: XL PS4
Yakuza: Ishin
PS Vita slim
PS Vita TV
Love Live! School Idol Paradise
Phantasy Star Nova
Danganronpa: Another Episode
Samurai Warriors 4
Deception IV

Regarding Atlus, I think the game they will push is Persona4DAN rather than Persona 5.

Hmph, that game. If we're being real, they're going to start promoting P5 sooner than later with it being released max. 7 months from now given the winter 2014 release date, unless it gets delayed and is released past April 2015 in Japan (which I would not expect; they'll meet their release window). Soejima said that we'll hear about P5 "soon", and with the game being released within 6 months after this conference, its presence isn't impossible. I feel that promoting P4D and P5 in conjunction after P4AU is released next week could be possible.

Then again, I feel that this conference would have more of a PS4 and potential Vita focus than PS3, so P5 might have to be on one of those to have a place. Plus, I feel that Atlus can do their own event whenever they want given their past and the cachet the Persona series seems to currently have.

Hoping for:

-New Level-5 PS4 title (or more realistically, a reveal of Wonderflick's PS4 version)
-Gravity Rush 2
-Persona 5 (if they don't show it there, I don't see how it's going to make its winter 2014 projected release)
-Final Fantasy XV (come oooon S-E)
-Kingdom Hearts III (not holding my breath...)
-Ys 8 for PS4 (new high-profile Falcom title has been hinted many times before, would make sense)

Sony really needs to come out with a bang for the PS4, but the various interviews and info we got seemed to indicate only "one new major PS4 title", which doesn't make me very confident.

There were a ton of announcements and new games last year. The actual TGS had little to nothing. I was hoping they would do another press conference this year. Looking forward to it!

Hype levels:

1. E3
2. SCEJ press conference
3. Gamescom
...
...
...
4. TGS

Things I can realistically expect:

(note: this doesn't mean to expect all of them, but they all have good chances, I think)

- New Falcom title (in December, Falcom confirmed it's developing a PS4 game)
- Disgaea 5 (In July, NIS said it would announce the next Disgaea this fall, and before that in February, it said it would announce a PS4 game at TGS)
- Yakuza Next (it's being announced next week, but it'll likely show)
- Senran Kagura: Estival Versus (it's confirmed PS multi-format and Takaki has said he wants to make a PS4 game)
- Bloodborne (already confirmed, of course)
- At least one new SCE Japan Studio project
- News about Bandai Namco projects (Gundam, Idolmaster)
- News about D3 Publisher projects (EDF, Onechanbara Z2)
- Something from Acquire / Spike Chunsoft / Koei Tecmo (read below for possibility)
- That CyberConnect2 large-scale project to be announced soon

Things I think will happen eventually, but am not sure if we'll see it on September 1:

- Deep Down beta news (maybe, because an update on this is supposedly coming this month)
- Yoshinori Ono's second PS4 project (we already know he's making it)
- Team Ninja's first PS4 project (in February, they said they were making one)
- Gust's first PS4 project (never said they were making one, but with Atelier Shallie out, I'd imagine that's where they're going next - they jumped to PS3 pretty early)
- Persona 5 full reveal - PS3/4 multiplatform

Things I'd like to happen, but who the heck really knows:

- A new SCE Japan x Level-5 RPG
- Dragon Quest XI (it's in development, console unknown)
- Final Fantasy XV update
- Kingdom Hearts III update

It's sad that the last two things there are merely "updates," heh.
