Resident evil 9 path tracing on ps5 pro?

I expect Path tracing to be on some PS6 games, at 60fps. It's probably going to be the main selling point of PS6, even on cross-gen games.

And there won't be 1st party games that will sell the hardware (like Demon's Souls sold PS5 for many). Currently the best games selling the new PS5 Pro features are third party like RE9.

At 30fps I think its achievable

If i can run on a ryzen 5 3600 + rtx 3060ti a PS5 pro should be able to run it too, the problem is that how PSSR ll handle iq

as someone who did try running path tracing on a 5600 and an RTX3060ti... it does run, but not in any way that is enjoyable. I guess the less demanding moments of the game would run ok-ish, but the busy street at the beginning literally brought me down to the low 20s at 1440p DLSS Performance Mode (so 720p internal)

and then we need to remember that the PT mode is literally not even available if you run the game on any AMD card, which can be interpreted as it being essentially disfunctional on AMD as it is tailored to RTX cards.
Cyberpunk is also such a game, and even tho that one lets you enable PT on AMD cards, almost all of them can't run it at playable framerates, even when dropping to insanely low internal resolutions.

Yeah, i m running the game at 2560x1080p on DLSS Q ( i think ), its not peefect but most of the time is above 30fps.

Its totaly playable and it looks awesome.

how far into the game are you? because I can see this work in the hospital, but raccoon city will probably tank performance with PT.

Path tracing isn't supported on AMD's most expensive flagship GPU. It definitely aint happening on ps5 pro for a game like re9.

In fact I don't think any games support path tracing that don't work directly with Nvidia to support it like re9 and cyberpunk did.

Holy shit that's crazy. Coppin RE9 tonight can't wait to check it out.

One thing I've noticed in some of these comparisons, is that city part in the alley. There is lots of missing raindrops, either caused from DLSS or path tracing or somethin. Especially when the camera is angled up and rain drops are falling, there's hardly any if at all on the pathtracing side.

I finished the game two times using PT, i ll load RC save and see how it looks. ( since de game was updated my no film grain filter is no longer working ), its not perfect, BUT, PT is worth it the frame hit on a game like RE and IQ is good enough for me.

Edit: Running on DLSS B
