I'm still bitter that PK Thunder launch got so nerfed in Melee. I'm not sure if this is based in reality, but it felt like Ness's down-spike kept getting less forgiving and lower priority.
Lucas's hop+A-down was decent for combo damage in Brawl, but he may be cut anyway.

Well, the reason I would do Marth is if the others aren't unlocked from the start.
I'm fairly confident I'll be going to grab the game at midnight somewhere with some friends and we're gonna dive right into some 4P FFAs/doubles matches in the car before we even start driving back home. Experience the items, stages and whatnot for the first time. Then as time goes on and we unlock more stuff we'll flip over to Smash Run and itemless 1v1s. As for character? Little Mac first, then try a little of everyone as time goes on. Until the Falcon arrives. Oh, and I also wanna get good with Villager.
Gonna be an all-nighter that day for sure.

I already played my first match of Smash. It was as Mega Man! He was pretty fun. But when I actually get the game I think I'll probably try Kirby out for a while.
I've been playing is Kirby since the N64 game. He's usually my favorite character, even when he isn't very good. Whenever I need to adjust to a new game, Kirby is my go-to character. Everything he can do just helps me learn how everyone else works.

I might be crazy...but was it confirmed that WFT sports ball move actually spikes the opponent downward if WFT makes contact with them while spiking the ball?

We've seen four Mario levels and two Pokemon and Zelda levels. They're not going to add four Mario levels and neglect to add any levels for Donkey Kong or Metroid...

First thing I did in Brawl was play through Classic Mode as Ike. Probably going to do the same here.
I've played the demo so I've already experienced some of the newcomers I wanted to try out.
Mario on classic mode is just tradition. It's the easy get into the swing of things option.

There is no official source on those claims, they're hearsay.
Sakurai likes to put everything behind unlocks.. So, maybe alts will be too

Besides things could end up changing and the characters may have something different, or something they couldn't do before. Well.. Super Smash Bros. doesn't change much from the what it is. It's why I never care to go for characters like that, I adjust pretty easily.But I can't wait to try them all out, that's going to be the best part for me seeing how everyone is changed up. :3

I've never played the multiplayer (even against CP) modes of Smash until after I unlocked all the characters, unless that character required me to manipulate versus matches to unlock them. Usually I go blind and simply start clearing 1P modes and inevitably unlock the characters who are paced gradually. This way I don't know who is coming when, even if I know who is in the game.
When I hit a wall with that, I will usually look up what else I still need to do to unlock the rest of the characters.
As for the first character I play as when I get my hands on the game, it will probably be Peach. Peach was my Melee main and I could never make her "work" how I wanted her to in Brawl. Just seeing that she has a second jump again means I will probably feel right back at home.

I also remember reading SCIZOR was planned for Melee...someone pointed out the model is higher quality than the other PokeBall Pokemon, but I can't really tell if that's true?

I recall that Sakurai said himself he scrapped DDD because it would look like favoritism for Kirby series or something along the lines, I don't remember Bowser or Mewtwo thou, Bowser could have been an awesome boss character at least
same goes for me but with Link, hopefully he will be above low tier on this game
