I'll probably be questioning how I ever believed in Duck Hunt Dog in the morning, but he looks so real right now.

Seeing them and the dog over the Ice Climbers just doesn't seem right. And I'm not even an Ice Climbers users.
 
I just want to say, regardless of whether you think this roster is fake or real, if you think it'd disappointing, I think the actual roster is going to disappoint you regardless.

Agreed. I think a lot of people are only looking at the leaked newcomers and not the newcomers as a whole.

Just thinking back to the Palutena days, it stifled conversation and every post that wanted to discuss it turned into a 10 page war about collections of evidence for and against that had been discussed to death and large scale name calling against the other hashtag. It didn't contribute anything to the thread and was an easy way to derail conversation.

If you're all adamant about doing it, then I obviously can't stop you. I'll just bow out of the thread.

I'm fine whether we do it or not. As long as we still talk about the pics and consider all angles, I see no loss.

Not me. The only thing that would make the roster disappointing to me is Ness or Lucas being cut. I am fine with the rest of the roster.
 
I'm going to continue believing that these leaks are fake, so long as they don't bother showing any in-match screenshots using the wackier newcomers. Show me Duck Hound using an actual attack within a match and then I'll believe.

To the leak's credit, though, I would find it logical that Ice Climbers would be cut in favor of Duck Hound, since they both kind of fill that role of "old oddball NES character that hasn't been used since." Still not sold on Shulk being a newcomer, though.

That's how it was with Brawl.

People suddenly forgot about Lucas, Pokemon Trainer, Snake, Sonic, and Diddy and focused on how the last newcomers were clones and R.O.B.

Plus from the looks of it F-Zero and Mother get a new stage, but DK, Metroid, Yoshi, Star Fox and Wario don't? Seems weird the most dead of the pre-existing franchises are the only ones to get new stages outside of the heavy hitters (Mario/Zelda/Pokemon).

No amount of added characters will make sense of third-party Shulk, Yoshi disrupting the Mario series, and Dr. Mario/Dark Pit/Lucina arbitrarily being at the end just because they're clones. Unlocking characters in Brawl simply added to the select screen, but it didn't change the characters' positions relative to each other.

That's honestly what's giving me the most "this could be real" feeling; these posts come off exactly the same way as the posts when Wolf and ROB finally leaked.

Unsure.

At the same time, I find it odd the leaker would leave out such an obvious tell. I mean, that's something you couldn't miss if you were making such a good leak.

Maybe adding 5 more characters puts everyone in their place.
