I hope the Ice Climbers are shown tonight.
Either that or they are dropped once you unlock a certain number of characters to free up space on the smaller icons. Longer names like Mr. Game and Watch might obscure too much of the character's face once so many icons are present on the 3DS's screen.

They aren't close to each other because Brawl's select screen is set up vertically, not horizontally. Simply adding characters isn't going to move Yoshi after Bowser Jr. or put the clones where they belong.

Not buying this, for one simple reason - in Melee and Brawl, the past stages weren't mixed in with the new stages, but were instead given discrete sections in the menu (which makes sense).
In this image, we have past stages that are randomly mixed in with new stages. This really doesn't make a lot of sense from a design standpoint, nor is it consistent with previous menu layouts.

Unless this image is fake for some reason, then why don't characters have their names under them?
I suppose as you unlock characters, the names disappear to provide more room.
Luigi in Brawl looks completely different to his Smash 4 render. Proportions are all different, his face is different, his overalls way different. Like not very close to the render like this Falco is.

-After DLC, 6 remaining newcomers for a total of 17 newcomers.
-12 SSB64 debuts, 9 Melee Debuts, 16 Brawl Debuts, and 17 SSB4 Debuts (after DLC)

It's good one with those fake renders. I really enjoyed fakers' hard works since they look somewhat good. I guess you labelled it bad because there is no mewtwo there.
Sure it could. Shulk could be at the bottom left w/ whoever is left and 3rd party at the bottom right. Even then, for all we know, characters don't shift around like brawl and just get reorganized at the end.

Don't get why tho, no other Smash has removed the names, and some characters like Shulk or Robin would be incredibly disadvantaged by it.
Besides, if my employee designed that character selection screen, I would fire them. Bad coloring, character from the same series aren't all put together, their is a ton of ugly empty space at the bottom, no Mii Fighter slot, etc.

If all 5 characters are added with an update, it very well could. Maybe this is the most logical way to do it right now, but when the new characters get patched in, the order adjusts to something more practical.
The leak says there are 5 more DLC characters. That isn't the final roster.
Why the hell did you leave it in the first place?!

And every UI we've seen from Sakurai's wife has shown us she knows what's up, I refuse to believe she'd design and Sakurai accept something so ugly.
Might be saturation from bad blurry shot, but Dorf's icon being so dark really bugs me.

A word of caution, Pokémon fans did the exact same thing with Pignite and Lickilicky, and Pignite turned out to be real

I'd be pretty disgusted if there were 8 Mario characters and 5 new Mario stages. How come Toon Link isn't in the hypothetical clone corner? Too many things aren't adding up, and I refuse to believe that Sakurai is biased enough to introduce two Kid Icarus newcomers while neglecting DK, Metroid, and F-Zero.
Team Fake. Doc, Pittoo, and Lucina are in some kind of clone corner while Falco and Toon Link are with their series. Doesn't make sense.
Then there's the renders. Doc, Bowser Jr, Falco, and Jigglypuff all look extremely similar to artwork that already exists. Wario and Ganondorf are have some sort of shadow and look too dark while the other portraits are quite bright (as is the Smash 4 style). And I really don't think they would call the dog Duck Hunt.

IIRC Brawl's additions just shifted characters to the right to fit everyone in their spot as unlocks happened. Melee had everyone in their location... Other than Pikachu for whatever reason.
This fake has certain clones down at the bottom while others are categorized. Unless there's Pikachu Syndrome then this makes no sense.

It's just a different way of expressing hype. All of this is hype in the end, and hype is fun.
