Ah, Luigi! I always make it a point to play as him a lot. His animations are hilarious and he's surprisingly strong. I love how he went from "pretty much Mario with a higher-pitched voice" to his own character. Smash 4 continues this with his new jump and final smash. Selling a staple of the series, Ice Climbers, as DLC would cause a HUGE uproar. It wouldn't be worth the negative attention, Sakurai's reputation would be tarnished.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration, though I do agree that it'd be a bit odd.
I'm pretty sure that even if we have concrete evidence that the leak was 100% true, we'd have some people dismissing it.
This leak being real is god awful for several reasons.

3. NO ICE CLIMBERS
4. SUPER SMASH BROS MORE LIKE SUPER MARIO BROS
5. WE WON'T KNOW IF THIS LEAK IS 100% FAKE ANYTIME SOON BECAUSE POTDS ARE 99% GARBAGE
We basically have to deal with this leak for an entire month while Sakurai shows us some old ass stage from Melee every day.

The truth is we will probably never know if that leak was real or fake, obviously if fake the easiest way to disprove it would be if the real faker revealed his original images and came out clean. If it's real the odds of us ever finding out is probably 0% unless we get some behind the scenes documentaries that show us early game footage where that version of the Palutena model is seen.

Oh yeah, let's all remember that someone claiming that they made it means nothing unless their evidence is more convincing than the leak itself. This happens all the time; the leak gets "disproven", and then everyone acts shocked when release hits and it turns out to be true.

The "Duck Hunt" dog and duck are collectively called Duck Hunt. Uh huh. Also the "leak" is apparently the English version since it says Bowser. So it's Duck Hunt in the English version as well.

Considering the other leak the roster seems to have been based on, Dixie Kong and Ridley could still be in (I doubt both of these leaks are real though)

I really think that's a bit dramatic. Its entirely possible that characters like IC and Wolf being dlc was a compromise against them being cut entirely. Sakurai wanted to focus more on new characters, deciding to cut a few vets now and focus on them after launch to give them the dev time they deserved.

The flutter jump has me really curious. Is it just an aesthetic change, or does it actually change the way Luigi jumps? With all the people sharing their experiences with the demo in recent months, I've hardly heard a thing about Luigi.

Nah, it's truly just an aesthetic change. I played him during Smashfest on the 3DS, and just imagine Brawl Luigi's jump, but with a flutter animation. I love that change too, further distinguishes him from Mario and it's a well known trait of his.
Why would Nintendo make the user name ESRB and then send it to them like that?
It's a mess up in the fake.
Which is odd considering no gameplay shots and zoomed in angled shots.
Maybe I don't understand the point of showing it off to the ESRB, but why would they focus on characters and UI rather than the actual game? That is the main thing that bothers me with this leak. Why isn't there any shots from gameplay?
