God, I hate seeing this picture depicting the "For Glory" mode. Especially since we haven't heard an update on the situation whether the criticism on what's wrong with that mode caught any attention of the developers. I like FD. But FD-only outright sucks for the "competitive" mode.

It probably didn't, so you can look forward to For Glory mode basically featuring the same few characters every fight.
It was a few days before the JP release but even then people still denounced it and didn't believe it because of characters like Wolf being on the roster over someone like Ridley or Mega Man who was certain to be in just "ultra hidden"!
People even desperately tried to find faults with the CSS image that was posted, if I recall correctly. It was really funny.
Things get leaked, seemingly, a lot more in advance nowadays. Not entirely impossible for something like this to happen but for a game as well guarded as Smash Bros. (in terms of against leaks) it would be surprising.

Yes, but since these are images, the photo leak from Brawl is more relevant.
It's not a competitive mode, it's a "This is for all the people that only ever picked FD no items because they bought into the fox meme and would constantly suicide if FD didn't get picked" mode.
Competitive mode is going to be with friends.
Though if they would just do the bloody Mario Kart 8 communities where you can create a persistent group thing and set up all the rules for it, much better than having to add loads of people.

This particular comic was spawned back in the day when those faces were a pretty popular meme. And yes, I know the manga's contents. I am well aware of the few gay mangas that existed before the 2000s.

No, we started 'hearing' of ROB before at the time when legitimate leaks were rallied into the garbage en masse. I still remember when people were saying "No, it's obviously ROB from Star Fox because the other ROB is just an enemy from subspace!!". People were faking rosters with ROB from Starfox, it was a riot.

One of these leaks has to be true. I don't know what I'll do if Ness isn't in Smash.

Yes, we did, it had Bowser Jr, Duck Hunt Dog and Dr. Mario if I remember correctly as well as Ice Climbers and Chorus Kids not in the roster which made everyone believe it was fake because of the almighty gematsu.
You've made a huge mistake. Selling it is already bad enough, but selling it before playing FE:A? I feel bad for you son.
This isn't entirely true. I remember both Melee and Brawl's rosters leaked months in advance along with dozens of fake leaks like we see now with Smash 4. It wasn't until closer to release date did these leaks get confirmed.
Now, Smash 4 seems to be in a unique situation where the gematsu leak predicted almost all the newcomers we have now despite some of these predictions being pretty out there. Gematsu also leaked 6 of these newcomers prior to the official unveiling of Smash 4. Brawl or Melee had nothing like that.

I believe leakers showed Wolf before they showed ROB, this was slightly before the full roster leak.
Yeah but it should be possible to get individual lobbies with strangers. Nothing hard to do. I still don't get why Sakurai thinks better players alienate worse players. That's what rankings, lobbies and matchmaking is for. Now he's just alienating people who would like to play 1v1 on any other stage than FD with strangers. Don't see the logic at all.

I don't remember that one for some reason. I hazily remember that we were discussing leaks before though.
We need a collection of all the leaks we can find when all is said and done.

Yeah would have liked trying it out but came to realise that games aren't that important to me at this point in my life.
Smash Bros though, it's another thing entirely. Almost sold my Wii U as well but that Smash Bros made me keep it. Splatoon too.
I remember people not believing the Melee leak because they couldn't imagine why anyone would pick Roy Koopa instead of any other koopaling.
That's strange anyway. I've never been registered before but always used their guides and tutorial threads and could see everything. Are these threads in some other forum section?

You should only post the Shun_one(Ninka)/Vaanrose stuff. Anything else attached to it is their silly speculation and trying to attach other "leaks" to it (like one of them has Ridley in it even though it's completely unrelated and the only connection between them is one character or something dumb like that).

Snake, Ice Climbers and Lucas being "cut" from the final roster lines up nicely with the fact that they're apparently DLC.
People originally gave it "credibility" because the leaker leaked a few new alternate colors before they were shown.
