I just hate that they take a place away from characters like Ridley,Rayman(Yeah i know),Snake and other ones.

Brawl was just the worst when it came to this. Fox had Falcon and Wolf. Captain Falcon had Ganondorf and others who i cant remember anymore.

Yeah, super exciting. Don't regret buying a japanese 3DS at all, but i'll TOTALLY mod my old, unused zelda 3DS so i can play w/ people at home!

For the record, i'm: #TeamMostlyReal, same as jedilink

I believe the CSS, the duck hunt, the bowser jr, the DR mario, I'm still not sold on the DLC thing, not without conclusive proof. I still believe there are 6 yet to be unlocked, and I hope one of those is ice climbers.
 
I'm pretty sure that everything were hoaxes. Here is my theory.

There is a group that worked together to make a good solid leak with good modeler backing them up. They planned out by releasing the text leak first to lure people into discussions then some people would post MORE rumors at several locations to spread variable of rumors to make people thinking that it's real.

Now it was perfect time for people to post full roster image, along with few full portrait characters (which made by good modeler) to convince people even more . I'm pretty sure that it was a group of people working together to fool people. I would guess that fake Nintendo Rep is one of them whom fooled Neo Zero.

I hope that leak is fake just because more clones is bad, eff you Lucina. Also because I refuse to believe that the Ice Climbers won't be back, and DLC is not justified, IMO, Nintendo please don't go that way.
 
Aside from that Smashboards post what else is new?

Except for that Red Team fight everything looks pretty legit to me. I am happy with that roster plus the DLC 5 but if there were even more I'd be super duper happy!

Come on Ridley, Dixie, Mewtwo or Sukapon!

You've been outright wrong about some of your points, and the rest don't do anything to question the validity of these pictures. The real question is, why do you need it to be fake so badly?

They don't take the place away from anyone, having an alt costume for mario and then giving it it's own slot due to it having mechanical differences isn't the same as adding a new character.

One mod vouching for it and being wrong damages the rep of entire moderator group on Smashboards. I would like to think that, as a mod on Smashboards yourself (who I think has been one for much longer than Neo Zero) you would like to be informed on the same things Neo Zero is so you (and the other long-time modertators) can evaluate the info yourself to prevent the legendary "vouch for it" stamp and avoid that reputation getting damaged.

Which leads me to ask, have you been informed on what Neo Zero knows?

Yep, I agree with you, was just going to make a post on it but you summed up my thoughts pretty nicely. I think it was 100% coordinated between the "leakers", and even if it wasn't I think the people who made this visual "leak" intentionally based it off of the most recent, believable leaks to give it some credibility. The part of the leak that really makes me feel this way is the strange addition of Chorus Men as a DLC character with four other veterans. It just seems like they were added into that pack because it seemed they had a high chance of being in the actual roster and were rumored for a long time so a lot of people have already accepted they'll likely be in the game.
 
Well, unlike Palutena leak, its possible to verify this one as soon as another character is revealed by comparing the portraits with the official render.

The way it's looking like, if this is real, is that they were either going to be cut from the game due to time constraints, made into DLC to get the game out on time or they delay to game to include them.

I'd rather have the DLC option honestly.

Maybe taking one or two photos is faster than taking a video, but this leak contains seven or eight photos allegedly taken across a good amount of time: we have a shot of the game's intro, a menu shot, CSS shots, an in-match shot, and a post-match shot. If this leaker had enough time to stand and take photos through all that, you'd think he'd have time to get a quick video of that team match. Hell, he could have made a Vine and it would be more convincing, and that's just six seconds of video.

I have no reason to trust Neo Zero. That guy was recently made mod, how does he have any connections? That person would be AlphaZealot, who helps manage the Pokemon VGCs and is the Smashboards owner. I just can't believe someone like Neo Zero, sorry.

what?? Mario is TERRIBLE in Brawl, him being so terrible, not having Melee's on-air down-A, having the FLUDD...etc...was one of the main reasons I stopped playing Brawl one week after launch...and still play Melee after all these years.

If we have a proper Dr. Mario in the new game I will be the happiest man on Earth. I'm really surprised about the little to zero love Doc gets in this forum...he was one of the staple characters in Melee imo.
 
I don't think the Duck Hunt Dog model is convincing as everybody else seems to think. It has no fur, it has no freckles, and it's not even laughing. Clearly they put a lot of effort into this fake leak, but I refuse to believe that Bowser Jr. is going to be playable when he wasn't even in Mario Kart 8.

Smash Direct: One Week Before the WiiU launch

After a nice 25 minutes of WiiU stages, modes, trailers, etc, it cuts to Sakurai again, wearing a parka.

Sakurai: "I've received many complaints from fans about some of their favorite characters missing from the 3DS version. Please understand, certain decisions had to be made to allow the game to be released as soon as possible for you to enjoy, and this included the difficult decision to remove certain characters from the roster. However, with the additional resources and time for the WiiU version... well, just take a look"

Trailer starts on Lylat Cruise. Falco and Fox fight on the ship, a battle behind them. On the radio, suddenly, Wolf! "Ha, Star Fox, you didn't think I'd really let you get off that easy" Wolf jumps off a Wolfen that was flying close and a video of him fighting. This lasts about 10 seconds, until out of nowhere "PK FWEEZE!" Lucas, jumps down from off camera, 10 seconds of Lucas. Then, Ice Climbers! Some time with them.

The video ends on Mario Galaxy, Ice Climbers vs Roy Koopa and Sonic. It pans back slowly. We see Bowser's airship in the back. Wait... As it zooms into the ship, a box is on it? A box!? It raises up "Miss me?" Snake montage, confirms Shadow Moses Island as a retro level on the WiiU.

Cut back to Sakurai: "We've worked incredibly hard to bring you these characters to the WiiU version. Don't worry 3DS Smash fans, these characters will also be appearing in your game in a free content update, later this year. Thank you for watching, I hope you're enjoying the 3DS Smash Bros, and are eager and excited to try the WiiU version.

I think it's just to me honestly because I really hate Bowser Jr as a character. Like, a load.
 
I'm not really for or against the leak.

I don't know if it was discussed to death but the biggest and most painfully obvious thing that sets off are flag is where Yoshi is on the css. Why would he, with his Yoshi icon be between characters with a mushroom icon. It is odd. Its the only reason I really have for disbelieving.

Super sad if leak is real. Was still holding out hope for Isaac. At least Duck Hunt Dog is cool.
 
A bit off topic but the main reason I just picked up my Wii U was for Smash Multiplayer, and Zelda U. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time so far with MK8,WW HD (first time playing this glorious game) and 3D World. However one thing that could make it better would be some friends!! Is there a specific thread where I can add others or a smash dedicated players list of people I can add?

If anyone is interested I play lots of MK8 online and will be playing lots of Smash upon release my NNID is IndustryX
