SkullHydra and I were going to have an avatar bet based on the top 5 characters in Oric's poll, but we're gonna make it open for anyone to join and let's make it for the top 10. Basically, you'll earn points for guessing the proper characters (2 points, let's say per character) and potentially more for their correct positions (1 point for 10th place, 2 for 9th, and so on until 10 points for 1st place). As demonstrated by Jiggly and Diddy, ties may occur in the poll. How many victors will be decided on and how they will dish out new avatars will be dependent on how many participate, and we can discuss it as the contest proceeds.

If you want to participate, PM me your character picks and their positions in the format I specify with my picks below. You are free to post your choices up in the thread too for all to see, but I can't guarantee that I'll see them and add them to the spreadsheet I'm making for this.

Let's make the deadline for this the moment the Monday PotD is posted.

Also, we can do some fun stuff with the statistics, like I'll post a leaderboard after Oric posts his next reveal.

My PotD prediction:

I'd like to see a third party AT, like Klonoa or the Taiko drum abomination, but since we already got one today, I doubt that's a possibility.

I'm gonna go with a stage. If the leak is real, then I hope we clear up WTF that pink place that looks like Magicant is (and if it is Magicant, thanks based Sakurai). If not, then I'm gonna say it'll be Kirby-themed because the KIrby franchise has the awesomest-looking places.

I supported the leak when it was just text on Smashboards, arguing that Bowser Jr. and DHD weren't totally beyond the realm of possibility. I was one of the first people to post the leak on NeoGAF when it was just the individual icons, and the first to join Team Real. Against all odds I started a thread because I thought it was legit from the bottom of my heart...

Yet I'm not in the fanfic yet. :(

I mean, I AM #TeamReal!

I'd imagine a leak-fueled Weekend SmashGAF would be regular Weekend SmashGAF on steroids. All of what you love about normal weekend SmashGAF mashed with the power of leak speculation and bickering!

No way could one set of pics be fake and the others real--they all showed up within hours of each other. Like, I really doubt that Ganondorf render could have been made that quickly and still match up that closely to the original character selection while also looking that good.

The third leak is comparatively suspicious but it's too good to have been a fake piggyback off of the original in that short amount of time. One goes down they all go down.
 
Imagine if tonight doesn't confirm/deconfirm anything with the leak. But then. Also. The leakers post more pictures.

The thread wouldn't survive the night.
 
Um, how did Pikachu get 16th if Jiggs and Diddy were tied for 17th? Surely that means Pika is in 15th? When there's a tie in a competition you skip the next number (or numbers as appropriate). Am I wrong here?

Yeah, people have given me feedback on that, but I'm probably going to keep it as is. I wanted to do 20 days of reveals, but not split up a rank between two days.

Tonight's going to be a screenshot of a level we've already seen, for the Wii U, that just shows off some background feature like pokemon hazards or stage transitions.

A legit weekend leak would keep people talking about smash, an incredible win for the weekend.

I love/hate the jet heels. It's a chunky and bouncy heel and not a stiletto, but guys, have you gone up and down stairs with wedges or heels? Don't. You'll die.
