I am not satisfied with this ending. Korra, again proves that she gets depressed when lose a part of her. .
Like a normal human being? Come on. I never understood this complaint, and it's even worse in this case.
I am not satisfied with this ending. Korra, again proves that she gets depressed when lose a part of her. .
Also, looks like Korra is the first person in history to
platinum bend. It makes enough sense. She was the first metal bending avatar, so combine metal bending with the avatar state and you got yourself some platinum bending.
I swear how don't people know by now that when the avatar enters the avatar state, he/she is about to f*** s*** up? Just sayin things aint about to go according to plan when you got that to deal with.
Also, to whoever said it, it's highly doubtful that anyone will earn to fly in season 4. The only reason Zaheer could fly is because P'li died, and she was the last worldly thing tying Zaheer down.
But zaheers motivations contradict themselves given that the avatar is in opposition to such leadership and forced governance. See roku and koyoshi (sp?). Hell the latter let chin do whatever until he came to her homeland. The avatar doesnt roam the world telling people what to do. In fact, zaheer is essentially becoming his own enemy. What if the people want an elected leader? Would he kill and strike down such a person? If so, he would be imposing his own will. He could have just as easily convinced people that they did not need leaders without going to the chaos route. Brings brings fear and in times of fear people give up their freedoms for order.
Nah. It doesnt make sense. Platinum is refined as fuck. And good lord is korra a weak ass avatar. They really butcheredthe avatar state. Avatar Wan was the first avatar in the state he took down a 10,000 entity of chaos and evil. Meanwhile korras is struggle with a dude who can fly? And dont gimme any of that poison crap. Yokone's bloodbending was just as debilitating as any poison but aang glowed the fuck outta that.
The writers sort of address this both in the show and in an interview. Techniques like lightning-bending just become more commonplace as the general public becomes aware of it.
Just because Zaheer does it one way does not mean others will not discover easier methods.
Still, I do not know I would like it if more people learned to do so. As for platinum-bending, I do not think she did.
According to what I recall (+ the wiki), Chin the Conqueror was a tyrannical warlord who only achieved power because people wanted to overthrow the Earth King. Kyoshi helped the Earth King maintain control by creating the Dai Li in the first place.
So assuming that the avatar is always against such governments is incorrect. Either way, having a random human getting such immense power over everyone else is still antithetical to an anarchist philosophy. We've seen how avatars don't always use their power wisely.
Anarchist state does not mean the complete elimination of leaders. Zaheer was technically the leader of the Red Lotus but they were still equals acting as a team in order to achieve a common goal.
Obviously, Zaheer's methods are brutal (this is what makes him an antagonist) but in his mind the initial violence is necessary in order to achieve the "greater good" aka true change could only be achieved through radical means.
The elimination of the Earth Queen brought the Earth Kingdom to a state of disarray but we saw how horrible conditions were under the monarchy.
Maybe but I don't expect it.
Well I guess considering this show is always trying to expand on things like that
No. I agree thatshe wasn't platinum bending what she did could have been feasible done by a strong non-bender. We've seen fancier stuff. She just whipped a chain around his ankle and smacked him into the ground.
Yes, it's been established she wasn't platinum bending.
And poison is way worse and less plausible to just break out of than blood bending. If someone is bloodbending, you can overpower it with your bending (Like Amon or Aang). It makes much less sense to think that just because you're the avatar, you can survive lethal poison.
It really doesnt though. Bloodbending is water based so i can see how the avatar state helps there. But that poison was. It shouldt have been a problem.metal based (how the fuck did jinora even know this?)
Not sure how Jinora knew, but Korra definitely didn't, so she couldn't do anything about it.
I guess this makes sense. Ill buy it.
AlsoI'm thinking when Jinora must have noticed by the look of the liquid that it was metallic. I forgot she was spying on them in the room.
I didnt know the first bit about chin. Thanks for clearing that up. But on the flip, Sozin wanted to oppress and force his will on the entire world the roku said hell nah to all of that. So it is an individual thing. Thats like saying "well hitler was german so lets kill all germans to be sure this never happens again".
Also who is to say conditions will get any better for the earth kindgom peoples but i agree she needed to be taken down a peg. I get he needed to be an antagonist because thats how these things work but i dont agree with his methods.
I was just referring to the flying part of his comment.
Okay My thought's on Season 3 Finale/ Season 3 in general
The finale was... good, lets get this over and done with I don't think they will be another season like season one with Amon's ending. Episode Twelve was really good, Did Sparkly Sparkly Boom Lady get her head blown off? that was something else. Zaheer, What disappointing villain I was hoping he would have a much better agenda than throwing off world powers and the avatar. I like the idea of Air Benders Becoming Peace Keepers? I guess? I feel that's going to have some effects in Season Four. Jinora becoming an air master was pretty cool too. Overall I think story wise Season Three is the 2nd strongest ending behind Book One. Also Korra looks like absolute shit in the finale. I feel bad for her. I guess Book 4 will be the Avatar hunting down the rest of Red Lotus?
Not sure how Jinora knew, but Korra definitely didn't, so she couldn't do anything about it.
Jinora was using her spirit form while they were captured looking for an escape. They could easily write a way she found the poison was metallic in nature.
Jinora was ...
Doesn't the platinum refer to the poison? Which is how Jinora knew too cause she overheard the whole conversation.
They might first see how the reaction and views were to tv vs streaming but I wouldn't be surprised if it did end up on tv...maybeI wonder if they'll even bother to do the next season (on TV, or if they'll just do the whole thing streaming).
The poison seems more like a.mercury
Amazon episodes released earlier. So did the rest of the season premier today?
I am not satisfied with this ending. Korra, again proves that she gets depressed when lose a part of her. First time happened when she lost her bending in season.
Hurry up Nick, I can't take it ahhhhhh
It's already up on Nick http://www.nick.com/videos/clip/legend-of-korra-992-full-episode.html?xid=korranation
Have fun its such a great couple of episodes.
Kai is such a bad character he makes my teeth sore.
is she really paralyzed tho?
naw
Shes still recovering from that life threatening poison. They would never paralyze her in a show which relies on martial arts and dynamic movement.
