HOLY MACKEREL PICKLED WITH ONIONS! I'VE JUST REALISED WHAT THE LOCK IS SECRETLY A HINT TOWARDS!

Just look at the shape. We've seen this shape before. Look at the colour. We've seen this colour before. The All Star we've been waiting for is in! It all makes sense. Totally on #TeamReal for this. It's the one and only...

his special moves would be disapointing sales, slow updates, and not being on the 3DS version until a year later.

*raises eyebrow*

Unless he's someone high up in the organization, this doesn't parse. The people that rate games are volunteers, as far as I understand.

I'm gonna agree, this is fishy, because...

Hm, if this part is true, why can't they show more images from the guy?

...he claims he's not doing it because he doesn't want his friends (described as the people he leaked this info to, implying it's not real life, in person friends/co-workers) to get any more mad at him.

Sounds rather strange to me.

10/10 would read again.

So many "leaks", just get it done with if legit.

All-Star Mode being visible instead of a hidden unlock wouldn't be that strange -- it's a new game, after all. I'm not sure how that, of all things, proves anything on one side or the other.

Now the design? Go right ahead and scan that a bunch. :P

Duck Hunt Dog & Duck moveset:

BUP - Pulls out a duck that lifts him upwards.
BSIDE - A bone materializes to the left/right and he makes a jump after it.
B - Jumps into the background for a second (making him immune to damage) then jump back into the foreground to make an attack.
BDOWN - Pulls out a steak and eats it, healing him and giving him increased attack power for a couple of seconds.

FINALSMASH - Ducks appear all over the screen damaging opponents, dog jumps into the foreground, and you control a zapper crosshair and can pew pew stuff. If you shoot ducks, Duck Hunt Dog is healed.

Zapper isn't actually ever used, to avoid hunting/violence controversies, and because Nintendo in general has an aversion to guns.

I never got involved with all that, so maybe that was different, but the point remains: they're taking the hard work of someone else and ruining the reveals of the people behind it.

Not at this point for me. It's just getting too convoluted and silly.

exactly

I want more leaks and more confusion.

It's so odd though. All-Star Mode is one of those things you unlock after you get every character. So having it just be there feels like cheating.

Alright, I might be confused. Here's what I think the damn thing is:

SOURCE: ESRB LEAKER
Leaks images and short clip to Group A.
Parts of Group A leak different things and add in false information, leading to confusion among people online, and tension within the group.
Someone from Group A talks to NessInEarthbound.
NessInEarthbound posts some info from the person in Group A.
The rest of group A gets mad at this person, so he stops showing off any more info.
MasterLinkX may have been part of Group A, or was instead told stuff by someone in Group A. Regardless, it's widely agreed he added in fake info.

Alternatively, Group A is collaborating on a fake leak, or someone is making a fake leak and giving it to Group A.

I really hope Sakurai is aware of this and will put it to bed real soon.

I feel as if he'll troll us and drag it out regardless of legitimacy.

Duck Hunt Dog twist:

He replaces Snake with all the same moves, and for the final smash, you'll have instead of just aiming at other characters and firing, they all become ducks with other ducks getting in the way.

To be fair, Lupinko's UMvC3 leak treasure hunts were one of the most entertaining things about that game until Capcom ruined it by leaking everyone themselves. These guys are just really bad at keeping our interest.

I really want to be a fly on the wall of the room of the intern in charge of uploading assets that let all of the Ultimate additions slip into the web address. I remember the extreme levels of hype and "LOLCAPCPOM" when the news broke and people were trying all kinds of character names in the URL to find out who got in.

I want to see the reaction of the person who tried Rocket Raccoon and actually found something lol

I mean, tons of people have played the previous two titles and it's a pretty significant portion of the single player that I feel is silly to "hide" instead of just show it in plain sight and let the player immediately wonder how to unlock it rather than it appearing out of the blue.

Either way, it being visible would be a conscious design choice. To me, keeping it hidden at this point would just be doing it "out of tradition" rather than for any other purpose.

That shouldn't be something you suddenly make out to be *THE* reason it's all fake. Questioning it is fine and all but declaring anything is fake or real because of that is a little silly.

At least, IMO. It's breaking conventions, that's for sure.

If the Super Bash Sisters Tournament goes over pretty well, then I would like to make a Doubles Tournament for the Wii U version of the game.

To better set up matches, I suggest having the SmashGAF IRC channel open when you're online. Nobody wants to have complications!
