PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

not gonna post it, but NA, not sure for EU. PS3 game I was refering to has a needlessly long title. I will likely not be playing any of them. especially with several good games launching in Sept.

edit: after looking up one of the PS4 games, could be a fun MP game. Others could be cool, but never really heard of them.

why can't you post it? That's weird?

Is anyone having problems making purchases through the web store?

edit: It won't take my CC (has worked for years) and won't take Paypal.

OK. You are going to log off GAF and play that ish right NOW.

Now seriously, you are doing yourself a disservice by not playing it. You can easily finish it in 2-3 days if you are anything like me and binge play it (DAT DESPAIR)

lol, I actually started it once (an hour in), but I was living in Japan for 2 months and it interrupted me playing it. Bleh. I planned on marathoning it before #2 came out. How long does it take to beat? I mean (not considering all the extras, just beating the main story).

I just got re-hooked into playing P3P (first time playing Fem MC), and I'm 30 hours in. Must....pull myself away and start Danganronpa. I loved Virtues Last Reward and 999, so there is no reason for me to not play it.

EDIT: You said 2-3 days. Well then, better get started.

Took me 21 hours, but you can do in less time than that with a guide I guess.

Ah crap, yeah now I remember. There is a lot of work you have to do get gifts etc? Not sure if you need those to get by the story. It's been a while since I first started it, but I remember some of the mechanics (well vaguely). I remember having to look at a chart or something.

It will go live on tuesday

Buy Neptunia Rebirth, Buy Soul Sacrifice Delta before sales ends tomorrow (English cross over trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCoaBRZqFfI)

I wouldnt buy Soul Sacrifice Delta. Its $17 now on PS+ same as the first game when it went on sale. Few months later same game went on sale for $10 or less with finally it became free.

I bought it at $17 and didnt get to play it so if you wont touch it for a while, do not buy it. Shit will drop lower. At least wait till its $10 or less. Sucks that I dont get a free Delta upgrade for having the vanilla digital version.

Baekshi is right, it's not technically a pre-order, since it'll start getting sold on the release date. But yes, for the limited edition.

Ah okay, was confused. I've never actually bought an LE physical from NIS. I've pretty much moved to all digital. But do they just put them up on their site at a certain time, and people just mad rush it?

As others have said, delta does something like doubles the amount of content, so I don't think you should get it for free for having vanilla digital. But I wouldn't have minded a $10 discount or so on Delta when it came out if you had purchased vanilla (e.g. not gotten it through plus), probably would've bought it then instead of waiting for this sale.

And I don't really think Delta will wind up on plus soon, perception would be poor since people don't understand that it isn't the same as the original SS which was on plus earlier, but to each their own.

It's not from NISA anymore, but Idea Factory International.

Just beat Killzone: Shadow Fall. So much wasted potential with that one. Gunplay wasn't as fun as KZ2/3 and the story was horrible. Hoping I'll enjoy the multiplayer.

tried so hard to get myself to cancel my pre-orders for

Tales of Xillia 2: Collector's Edition
SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS - 'Let's Get Physical' Limited Edition

hope I don't end up regretting

- i don't need them, i don't need them, i don't need them

Guys, be honest with me and don't hype it up if you are biased towards liking it. Is there a legitimate reason to buy SSD and transfer my current save over to it? As someone who isn't wild about the game, I'm not seeing what the hub-bub is about it outside of more missions.

it's not just about more missions though (though that's one solid aspect as it really fleshes out the sober yet beautiful world of Soul Sacrifice)
the whole battle system is now more refined
on the technical level, it's higher res too I think.

at this price, it's really worth jumping in

It's a legit great game. Fantastic visuals/designs, interesting lore, deep gameplay, great multiplayer, and perfectly paced for a handheld title.

The Delta version just ramps it up to 11, jam packs it with even more content, increases the graphical fidelity, refines the gameplay, ...

If you did not like SS, you obviously won't like SSD. But why did you not like SS in the first place?

(How can you be biased towards liking something, besides... simply liking it?)

I haven't even beaten the original game yet. It just feels like it drags on.

Sounds good, but as I don't play online, it feels like I wouldn't be able to take full advantage of the game.

It's not the type of game for someone that just wants to 'finish' a game, the game is built around co-op so don't get it if you have an aversion towards multiplayer games.

(Even though I enjoy single player immensely and think the NPC's are fine in combat)

I enjoyed the Single Player campaign in SS (don't really like playing online... get stressed over playing well ><) so yea question is... what is it you don't like about the main game (it's a little too dark and gloomy for me)

ditto

I understand it's not a game to just go through and beat. I want to beat the game so I can have the best spells equipped and go for the Avalon Pacts. However, just to get to that point, it feels like the game is a slog. I'm on Chapter 2 of Fading Humanity so I think I'm getting towards the end?

Three day weekend and the house all to myself. Thinking I might pick up Diablo 3 sometime this week and really dive in over the weekend.
