Legend of Korra Book 3: Change |OT| SCHEDULEBENDING

Some implications and comments from the creators in the IGN interview:

- The physical/emotional toll on Korra was done on purpose by the end, since it was all from her sacrifice for the air nation so I guess I'm on #teamemotional.

- The move from the Air Nation to the 'world police'-esque direction they're taking them is discussed, they basically just mention that yes it's something new they're doing for the air nation since they were so peaceful and monk-like before.

- They weren't killing characters for the sake of being mean to their characters, which is obvious.

- They weren't too thrilled about the way Nick has handled this, if it wasn't obvious before, they discuss that they wish the show was available for everybody instead of Nick's way of first denying it from the internet and then removing it from TV broadcasting. And that's well in production so no worries.

- Zaheer still being alive isn't going to mean much, they reiterate each season has a new villain so him being big next season probably won't happen.

- They comment that Zaheer was standing toe to toe with other benders even though he just got air bending is more in the fact he was already a martial art master prior to this and that they see it similar as in kung fu films where you handed a weapon to a martial arts expert and they'd be able to use it to battle. Their example is Jackie Chan with a broom. They also said it was implied that he was practicing outside of his chasing the avatar.

- When the interviewer discussed whether Bolin getting lava bending was due to the portal and the spirit/real world coming together, they explain that it was more due to Bolin tapping into his background and skills, which the interviewer then says "so his fire and earth lineage" but the creators had basically finished the thought and didn't address this so no solid answer just yet, but hopefully this translates into book 4 explanation.

- Obviously they're tight-lipped on Book 4 details.

- They talk positively about the video game, but you know take this with a grain of salt since it's their property and their universe so yeah lol

Any gameplay?

There is a few snippets of the regular game. Its a character action game from Platinum (bayonetta).

Other than the animations looking a little rough (it is early and it is low budget but Avatar prizes itself on beautiful animations during fights) it looks fantastic.

In platinum I trust. I also wish that Zaheer and the crew where bosses, would have been so epic to have a fight with P'li or Ming Hua.

Yeah just saw some of the normal game gameplay. Kinda wanted to see pro bending. Would be cool if it was MP too.

I know people love their platinum action games but ive never been a fan. Might pick it up if pro bending is really cool though

While Zaheer is said to not play a huge role in S4, Bryan and Mike also say that the Red Lotus ties in with the new villain rather closely.

Did anyone else notice how the poison looked like a snake before it was administered to Korra? And that the final episode was titled "Venom of the red Lotus"? Well, you know what they say: you cut the head off the snake/hydra, two grow back in its place.

No surprise here. Seemed pretty obvious after that hug. Bet they'll end Book 4 with them making out like Aang and Katara.

Oh well, already prepared to roll my eyes into the back of my head.

Personally, I don't really care about Makorra either way. It doesn't bother me and I don't *hate* it. However, if the show ended exactly like A:TLA did I'm gonna be very pissed off.

Just read the last few pages,

Still pretty sure Mako/Korra wont happen, but I don't really have a strong view on it.

Also pretty sure non AS Korra would beat non AS 12 year old Aang, or would at least force him to run away.

She looks a lot like Zaheer and Suyins daughter.

she looks like shes asamis sister too
I gonna shit myself laughing when the start season 4 with Zaheer being in a cell next to Hiroshi, telling him that they haven't seen each other in the long time and he is noted in the prison office as "Zaheer Sato", while Asami whispering two words into the ear of Republic City's major.

So according to theories here:

- Opal and Suyin have infiltrated the good guys and helped them kill and stop the plan from the Red Lotus, even though they're Red Lotus themselves.

- Zaheer, who has made it very clear that P'Li is the love of his life and met her during his youth when he joined the Red Lotus, has an illegitimate love child from a circus fling we have no confirmation on and is based entirely on speculation with Suyin.

- Suyin has kept this daughter around and this entire time never introduced her as a half-sibling to any of her family members, even though her being theoretically from a previous fling way before she met her husband would basically not be considered cheating and has little reason to hide.

- All three of them are waiting for the right moment to spring Zaheer out of prison, laugh about his dead comrades they helped kil, fuck shit up.

- Ryu the air bender becomes the ultimate void bro, kicks Zaheer's ass in mid-air as his flight is as incandescent as the sun, then decides he doesn't care enough and flies into space due to all the anti-gravity his uncaring makes.

Legend of Korra!
Book 4: Keikaku

most people in this show look like theyre related to somebody that theyre not related to

like asami, tahno, mako, and kuvira could be siblings

thats cartoons for you

This isn't One Piece.
And we shouldn't dismiss any siblings. Korra is all about siblings.

Now I don't think speculation that has arose from that subject is at all ridiculous. I could see why people would think there could be some ties between the characters, for multiple reasons. I just don't buy into it myself.

It's nice to speculate, it's one of the funnest parts when watching with others. The strange and ridiculous speculation when Madoka run was at times more fun that the show itself, especially when some theories seemed perfectly logical. I think I was even a bit bummed out by the ending, since some theories were cooler and made it in another thing. So just tell me, if I go over board, I might not notice when speculating.

Ah and there was also that guy who rightfully speculated the half a dozen twists of Attack on Titan one year beforehand, when nobody believed him. It was glorious.

How? I can't listen to the interview at this time.

The interviewer (who was pretty good; asked decent questions) asked Mako's voice actor some shit like "how's Mako feeling about Korra right now?" He and Varney look at each other quickly and he says "Mako's feelings differ for Asami and Korra. His love for Korra is more genuine" or some shit like that. Varney tried to disarm the implication by saying "who has time for love?" He also said he loved the scene where Korra and Mako hug cuz it shows just how much Mako loves Korra.

This season made me think that it'll end with KorrAsami. Especially their last scene together. I'd be perfectly fine with that.

On a side note, I'm not sure if I'd Rather Bolin get back with Eska or stick with Opal.

Do you actually think Su is bad? Sorry for asking, just wanted clarification. I know people suspected it early on in the season, but was just wondering if people still think so after everything that went down. I guess I just have a hard time seeing how they could possibly make that work plot wise. Because if she was really the person pulling the strings behind everything, there is just so many things she should have done, or things that she did (that I think contradict her being an evil mastermind).

Even if she wasn't the mastermind and just had ties to the organization, it would take a lot of mental gymnastics to bring it all together to work logically. I kind of hate when shows have twists where you then have to go back and question whether actions made sense or not. So I would be super weary of that. But then again, I always say that execution is everything. So you won't know until it's tried (if they pulled it off or not).

But on the off hand chance that Su is evil, lmao Lin would have one of the most tragic stories ever. No way that shit ends positively.

EDIT: hopefully this post doesn't come off as condescending. Just wasn't sure if people still thought she was evil or not.
