If you think this is tinfoil you know nothing Jon Snow. Take a walk through ASOIAF boards lol

On a side note I wish they would bring Tahno back.

I'm sure there was some amount of debate about it, but that scene would have been amazing if there had been an accompanying sound effect. Maybe it was too much for Nick.

a couple interviews with IGN on Book 3 and 4, including the release date of the Korra game.

god dammit, makorra lives.

That interview with Varney and Faustino must have been super weird seeing as they would've recorded their Book 4 lines a while ago. I take them explicitly mentioning Makorra as an indicator that that's the route the show won't go.

Yeah, I actually thought the explosion hadn't happened yet because there was no sound. I was confused whether or not she was dead for a second or two.

i think we're supposed to assume the suit muffled all of the sound, at least from the distance where zaheer was.

Can combustion benders bend fire normally? I forget if she even tried it or not
Well, at that moment she no reason to not use the combustion, the fight was on mid range and fire usually gets more ineffective the farer the target is away. Only lightning and combustion have the power and speed needed for mid range. Plus: on hit instant death.

Remember they were originally in jail for attempting to kidnap Korra years ago. So the Red lotus plan consisted of kidnaping, poisoning and killing a child.

So fuck them.

on the other hand, guru laghima (an airbender) once said, 'new growth cannot exist without first the destruction of the old.'

loved it. i wish they could've showed her head exploding in some fashion instead of implying it.

It felt to me that it was probably done but was cut. Because it was honestly kind of passed over, no huge explosion sound or anything.

But still, they have to do it for kids, right? This is for kids after all. Am I right!

I don't remember much of ATLA in the romance stuff, but were there any that felt really forced? ATLA had the advantage of having more filler episodes to develop this kind of stuff more.

The romance in Korra for the most part just seems to sudden (unless i'm remembering wrong). I actually liked how makoasami came to be.... Ok I was going to write a lot more but I don't know if i'm remembering right with everything I was about to address.

But basically, I think the best romances that don't feel forced are the ones were they are shown being good friends for a bit and then developing into a relationship.

I would have imagined they were going to teach Korra to see it their way if she were a child though. I don't think they decided on killing her until after they got out because she was too old.

She used regular Firebending to protect herself from Zuko's dragon.

I was going to say, if Combustion people were just regular folk who got tattoos to use their chi, we'd be seeing scary stuff like mass produced armies of walking combustion turret troopers.

Though based on her, and on Combustion Man from the original series, it seems the ease projecting explosive bolts makes a Combustion Bender a little too reliant on a single gimmick.

zuko and katara was really forced. it was almost like the creators themselves didn't intend for it to happen.

What makes you think that? The Red Lotus goals were to remove all leaders that including the Avatar. That why they wanted to end the cycle.

It was more cutesey and developed slower. Aang just slowly started to take a liking to katara more than a friend but it wasn't shoved down our throats every episode. Katara didn't really have feelings toward aang until later.

In Korra it just seems like super cliche teenage drama

They started pushing relationships in book 3 once they found out they had such a....rampant, fan base that is into all that shipping stuff. Korra was just the evolution of that.

I don't think they would have killed a child. For all his delusion, Zaheer doesn't strike me as the type. None of them do. I think they wanted to kidnap Korra so they could turn her into a means to realise their plans. of destabilising the world. They might have disposed her afterwards but by then they would've probably become too close.

Zuko x Katara.... I know people liked the pairing, but I honestly don't remember it having any legitimacy within canon... Like I don't remember it actually being a real thing. I haven't seen ATLA in a long while though.

It never did. It was just fun. I used to be a Zutarian back in the day.
