My two favorite Uprising characters are newcomers. I'm so happy.

I just.......have to say one more thing.

There is no way I believe Snake was the sole reason why Brawl was bumped up to T. It was a combination of weird shit in that game.

I know his chances are very slim right now, but I don't accept "he would make it to T so blah blah blah ESBR" as a point for his disconfirmation at all. And some of these pictures sent to the ESRB wern't even focused on anything racey, like Mario and Lucario in classic mode.

Either way, if he's going to get in, it's probably going to have to be DLC at this point, which they probably wouldn't have access too yet anyway, but I'm just sayin.

From the ESRB process description posted earlier, the submission should include both 'pertinent content' and 'typical gameplay', so all the normal stuff is just part of the rating game too.

Trying to guess the results. I assume that use/tier factor into that, so high tier characters (especially if high tier in both Melee and Brawl) are going to be generally higher. I also assume that people just really enjoy some characters/franchises.

Then everytime myself or someone else brings up having content locked, most people complain and want the whole cast from the start.

Besides Dark Samus, who wouldn't really make much sense as a clone, are any of them as notable as Dark Pit? He appears all throughout Uprising's story, he's a boss, you play as him in a chapter, and he's playable as the Dark Team's angel in multiplayer mode.

I straight up refuse to belove that Ice Climbers are gone. Not only because the loss would hurt, but because it makes not one bit of fucking sense. There are Polar Bears in Smash Run, and at this point Ice Climbers as a series is on the lips of gamers only because of Sakurai and Smash. The thought of them being cut is the most bizarre thing. I would bet all of the teeth in my mouth that they're in.

Also I don't buy the "3DS too weak" business. Not at all.

As funny as this is, when all's said and done at the end of the day, I feel bad about this whole video leak situation now.

It's like opening a Christmas Present early. Oh sure, you're really happy and excited about what you got at first, but when your parents find out and confront you about how you've ruined the surprise, then you start to feel guilty.

Seriously, thinking about how Sakurai feels about this entire thing kind of bothers me. It probably really sucks having this big surprise character announcement that nobody sees coming, then this troll who works for you spills the beans to everybody.

It's one thing for it to be a blurry image, or a list from someone anonymous. Those are always fun and are sometimes never on the mark. When we see actual footage, then it really feels like the surprise is ruined.

Yeah, something like Snake's C4 and grenades would probably be shown.

I'm guessing Sheik's grenades were shown, we just haven't seen them. We never got a full video of what was shown to the ESRB, just bits and pieces leaker(s?) wanted to share. It's hard to really say what was not there. But I think it's safe to assume that if any other new information, especially about something like Snake, was there then we would know.

I don't think personality is necessarily a make-or-brake thing, but and utter lack of personality should, I think really count against a potential character. Dark Link, for example, has literally no personality. He just wordlessly mimics Link.

Yeah, this too. I'm hoping DLC could still be in the cards so that we can still get a proper surprise. But yeah that sums things up perfectly :/
