Pic of the day. Spectator Mode is available even on the compact 3DS version!! In this mode, you can watch players all around the world fight and make bets with in-game gold. Wager wisely by checking out the player names, rules, win rates, odds, fighters, and stage!!
Being able to cheer someone on is what really makes spectating matches fun. This time, 1st and 2nd place will get prizes in four-player matches, and spectators can bet the gold they win on Bonus Chances.

Yeah, it's a "For Glory" match so that must be it.
I hope the multiplayer for this is like MK8 where you can set up tournaments that act as lobbies. So easy in MK8 to just hop into the NeoGAF tourny (though I dunno how active it is now). Would be great if there was a smash one you could just join and get matched with others playing at the same time

Even though we know Duck Hunt Dog is in, I need to see him in motion for it to really feel like he's been confirmed.
Going all in with Marth and Pit again. I'll see who gets promoted to third main from Rosalina/Palutena/Greninja/Megaman/Robin/Ike with custom moves/Sheik/Zero Suit Samus.
Also I like that the SaltyBet function can also generate rewards for the participants in matches. That's a cool touch.

Really looking forward to Duck Hunt and more Bowser Jr. How sweet it'd be if they were revealed in the same trailer during the media summit at PAX.
I warned you this would be the case. Run up to Brawl was full of rounding things up which included a lot on menu items that hadn't be discussed before.
Smash is a big game and there's a lot of menu items we haven't seen yet so expect more to come.

I fail to see how a PotD that contains new information is a "filler pic" just necause it's a menu shot. Or is "filler pic" code for "I don't care about this?'
Now I feel bad for Sakurai and team. He always shows excitement with every PoTD he shares and now with the leak, I'm sure all of that has gone and he is like "I'm still uploading this because it's part of my job but personally I would have stopped doing this. Y'all ruined the surprises!
